Hello. I have written an article in response to a publisher's public request. I'm now ready to submit it, but I'm not sure how to mark it to his attention or otherwise notify him that I've written it for him. Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you. That's exactly what I was thinking. I'll need to take a completely fresh and new approach to the article in order to avoid self-plaigiarism.
