Question for Ed-Please read!

Hi Ed....

I submitted a private req. article on the 28th, and it's still sitting in review. Has it gotten lost in the shuffle? Title is Montego Bay. If you can just give me an update, I'll let my customer know. Thanks!

Have a Happy New Year!

Re: How To Add Referral

On your Author Page, hit your Affiliate Info link....and it will give you your personal affiliate link. The numbers in that link are your referral code. You can give your friend those numbers and have her send a note to Support, explaining that she signed up prematurely without the code, and they sh...

Re: Need help ... Low in Confidence

Honestly, I joined CC without knowing shibbit about the freelance writing world. A true neophyte. And, based on what I learned here in the forums, I've never joined a site that required bidding on articles. So, I can definitely say that CC has been a blessing because it was like starting the race wi...

Re: By-Lines in Article Text

Although it's ultimately up to the customer, when purchasing full rights, as to whether they wish to include your byline, you may want to include it as a normal practice in all your articles, this way, it will be there if a fullrights purchaser does wish to use it, and it will automatically be there...

Re: Featured content on profile

Regarding changing screen rez in Windows OS: -Right click on your desktop (not an open window) -Click Graphic Options -->Graphics Properties -Choose Devices-->Screen Area (drop down menu, to make rez smaller) Shouldn't have to reboot. You can also get to this adjustment thru Properties--->Settings, ...

Re: Best offer Help!

I think the Best Offer feature is something that's being remodeled for the upcoming site revamp. In the meantime, you have a few options: 1. Go ahead and change the price on your article to what the best offer price was. 2. Wait a day or two and see if it sells (without having changed the price) 3. ...

Re: Help with Long Summaries

You're quite welcome. You just have to always go thru after you paste it there, and check, and "reformat" it within that particular block.

Good luck with your writing!

Re: Help with Long Summaries

Hello DiGi, With regards to the long summaries, you can put the required 1/3 of your content, or you can paste the whole article there as well, the choice is yours. Some will put the whole article there, others will put 1/2, and others will break up the content into excerpts, and may use ellipses to...

Re: Quotation Marks - WSJ

This is why I don't generally read any current fiction titles. I may be wrong in my opinion, however, I think that if the author expects ME to determine who is saying what to whom and when, then perhaps they should pay me to read the book instead of paying them to be so lazy. Of course this marks me...

Question for Ed

I am wondering how I can go about publishing some of my articles (for usage rights only, of course) from another site, if my published (viewable) name on those articles is different than my name here? Do I need to change my profile at the other location to include the same name as here, or can I inc...
