Adding to the same topic, does removing articles from your profile catalog affect your acceptance rate? Mathematically, it shouldn't, but I'm wondering if those articles we remove cause the percentages to change ... the system seeing those removals as rejections.

CC, I'm still curious.

Re: Short Summary
I'm having the same problem. I've tried several times to resubmit with SS and no luck. Tried to edit it after I resubmitted and still draws a blank. EDITORS: Are you reading this? Please don't return it. I'll fix it happily when the glitch is fixed. ETA Jak Thanks for contacting support. I think I'm...

Whoah, that's gotta be frustrating. Wish I could help. Maybe try sending them as .doc files. I'd drop a note to support in any case. Their tech people may be able to help sort it.

Re: Who are the buyers?
I've had articles sold to print publications and I know others have as well. Buyers want the unique content CC offers and they come from all media to get it.

You might want to have a look at these posts from CC. They are a little older, but post Panda, I believe the figures are still valid.

Well done, Squonk. DS is Demand Media Studios. You've seen all those e-How articles in the search results? That be them, along with a bunch of other offshoots.

Re: The Short Summary-- can you talk about yourself?
I think I'd just make sure I mentioned my areas of expertise in my profile. As Celeste said, the expertise is in the writing. Expert or not, it's still a good idea to attribute/credit some of the info to other authorities on the topic, remaining objective as the writer. There is so much false medica...

Re: Is CC too good to be true?
Well done on your early success here, David. I'm sure there are lots of DS ex-pats joining CC right now. I've never put all my eggs in one basket. I know a lot of DS writers did and they are really hurting right now, losing apartments, can't buy groceries etc. I am with DS, but never liked working t...

Re: Extremes
Longest article at CC around 1200 words Highest price, I think around $100 Length isn't always the deciding factor when I price my work. I can whip up a gardening article in 15 minutes, so pricing a 500-wd piece at $50 or $60 doesn't sit well with me. I sell most gardening articles at $35 or less. T...

888, you will have no concerns buying from Constant-Content. The work listed for sale here is well-written and has lots of checks to ensure the buyer is getting clean original copy, researched using numerous sources. If $20 is your price point limit, why not simply put in requests for the articles y...

Alex,
There is a bell or pulley somewhere over there. If you click it on, you'll see how to apply to be listed on pools.

Re: Approaches
Everyone gets these quirky little requests from time to time. The best way to handle it is to ask them to place their "private" requests through the system. Add something like "I'm sorry, but I'm only willing to negotiate on articles that include best offer." You did the right th...

Re: Title Glitch
Why not just add those categories to your in-house keyword list. I think the majority of CC searchers use the search button with the word related to their needs. Something I'd like to see is a search within profiles. If, for example, a writer brands herself as an authority on a topic, uses social me...

Re: Change Title While Under Review
Also, there is no space at the bottom of the page to send a note to the reviewers. What we used to do if we needed to send a note, was keep it short and sweet and add it to the short summary for the eds' deletion. I don't know if that's allowed anymore though. If it's absolutely essential, I don't ...
