What topics are hot and selling well at the moment?
Hi all, I've been out of the writing mode for a while and just getting back into it. What topics are you finding are popular and selling well? Let's get a good discussion going on good ideas that everyone can share and see if we can find inspiration for articles when suffering from that dreaded writ...

Hi Lysis, Yes, I remember you too and very pleased to see you are still active on the forums. Yes, babies become even cuter when you are related to them. I'm sure you'll find you enjoy being an Aunty after all. Thanks for the heads up re the review times, obviously lots more submissions for the edit...

Hi from HayleyWriter
Hi all, I'm not exactly new, as I have been registered with Constant Content as a writer for several years, but it has been a while since I've submitted an article. However, I finally got back into writing and am excited to have submitted an article today. For those who may remember me, I was always...

Yes, it does! Congratulations. It's a terrific feeling to sell your first article, especially at the right price.

ALERT! ARTICLES STOLEN
Hi all, I just found a site that has stolen 80 of my articles from the LONG Summary on CC. :!: I have notified Support. I recognised many other articles from writers here on CC, including Celeste, Antonia, Peggy Tee, Zabrina, Word Gypsy, Gail Gill, and others. Please check the site and notify Suppor...

Re: First time CC author not sure where to go from here.
Hi Talon, If you would like to contact me via the CC email system (by clicking on the "Contact This Author" button in my author profile Hayleywriter), I will be happy to read over your article and give you some feedback. It can be hard when you first start out, but don't give up just yet! ...

Re: three rejections on same article
Hi,
I don't include the short summary in the actual document for any article. It is not a requirement, so why don't you just submit the article without the short summary in the document. It should solve the problem.
Hope this helps,
Hayley

Re: Average Wait for Approval?
As there are a lot of requests at the moment, you may find that the review time is longer, especially for articles you write "on spec". However, you can write other articles and submit those in the meantime. I try to have at least one article in review most of the time, so that I have a co...

Re: How Does Best Offer Work?
Whether buyers try to abuse the system or not, the author has the ultimate control and can decide whether to accept or reject the offer. I have had some good sales through the best offer system, where the customer offers $50 for full rights instead of the $60 I had originally put on the article. Tha...

Re: Basic Licensing Question and What is a Good Byline?
Hi Nicole, You are correct. Once you sell an article for a full rights or unique licence, it cannot sell again. Only articles that originally sell for a usage licence can sell again. Once an article sells for usage, the options for a full rights or unique licence no longer show to the customers. Som...

Re: Greetings, new here.
Hi LoraDee, Welcome to Constant Content. It is a great site and I am sure you will succeed here. As for your questions, I am not sure of the rules of fair use on a radio program, so hopefully someone else will jump in to answer that one. In the forums, especially in the Author Exchange section, ther...

Re: rejection re my first article
Hi, Once the editors reject your article, it is purged from the system, so the editors won't be able to refer to it again to give you an answer. Nor do the editors tend to respond to questions in the forum like this. Since you have made a few grammatical errors in your post, it is likely that at lea...

Re: Language
Hi, As an Australian, I was taught UK English at school. However, I find that US English articles sell better here. I think that many of the customers are based in America, so US style articles do sell. I tend to write in US style for most articles, unless I am responding to a public or private requ...
