Can I assume that all listed public requests are still current, however old the date? Or are requests which have already been fulfilled not removed from the list?

Just had my first rejection (for my first submission!) 1st question: is it better to work and re-work it then re-submit before submitting anything else? Or is it usually ok to work on and submit other articles first? (I think this would work better for me so I could come to it fresh later, if it's a...
