Re: Stolen article
You may want to consider amending your Terms and Conditions if you are going to be making copyright claims on behalf of authors on AC and other sites. Not that any author is likely to take issue with you protecting their copyright, but ownership of the Works remains vested in the Author until the ri...

Re: What is your CC "Eureka" moment?
My personal Eureka moment was recent. I've been here for quite some time, and had my fair share of "Yay, first sale" and "Holy crap, that sold for THAT much?" and the like. After going on hiatus for many months, however, I returned to find almost all my unsold articles sold. I do...

Re: Stolen article
Just so you know what happens, here is the reply I got from AC: Dear Mr. Phillips, We are in receipt of your letter dated August 14, 2009. AC has removed the content in dispute, and have banned the user from AC. In the future, please feel free to email the Designated Agent directly for a more expedi...

Re: Stolen article
Part of the problem is that the article had been up there for around a year - making money the whole time. I don't know how much, but hey, its money that isn't his. I also may have lost out on sales. Its all speculative, but there's no recourse. No sense suing someone over $100 in lost sales and for...

The name was Smith Johnson.
I sent the fax at 10:00am local time. Its now 11:00am and the content and author has been removed from AC. Pretty impressive turnaround time, wow.

Re: Stolen article
I found 2 stolen articles on AC this month and I wrote to them immediately. If anyone is interested in going this route here is the link that explains how to contact them and the info you need to provide. They removed both articles promptly and booted the 'authors' off the site. http://www.associat...

Re: Stolen article
I have about 95 unused Copyscape searches that expire September 20, 2009.
PM me if you want me to do some searches for your content, I'd hate to see these go to waste.

Re: Are we allowed to have more than one account?
My two cents: the potential for abuse is too great to allow multiple accounts. As noted, the person could use themselves as affiliates to scratch out an additional 5%. The Terms of Service make no mention of this being specifically disallowed.

Re: Greeting from INDIA "Jayanti"
There might be a couple of issues. First, your articles might just be in the review process still. I understand the editor is very busy these days so it might take a couple of days before your article becomes available for purchase. However, if you have had your articles reviewed but they are not sh...

Errors missed by the editor - easy way to change?
I was just reviewing one of my articles and found a couple of typos that were missed both by my proof-reading, my spellchecker, and most shockingly the editor. Is there an easier way to make tiny changes without resubmitting?

Re: Yet Another First Sale Thread
Thank you very much for the advice. Much appreciated! I've just finished a 1200-worder that really didn't take very long - just under 2 hours. Again, PC tutorials are breezy! I've priced it at about $60 for full rights, which is about on par +/- $15 with what similar-sounding articles of comparable ...

Yet Another First Sale Thread
Hi all, I just wanted to share (read: brag) about my first sale, and also ask a bit of advice. The article wasn't anything fancy - a 900 word article on how to use the "Mail Merge" function in Word 2003. I got the accepted email at 8:35am, and it literally sold within minutes. Of course, I...
