Re: Client with deadline
Approved and sold last night. It's an incredibly busy time of year, I know, and thankfully my client was understanding. I appreciate your encouragement, Abba May.

Client with deadline
An article I submitted a few days ago for a private request needed revisions, so after revising I resubmitted, attaching the new file. The status still shows 'resubmitted.' I am a little anxious that I made an error in the resubmission process and need reassurance in that regard. Also, my client's d...

Thrown for a Loop
After reading through a few previous, similar posts in this forum, I think I've figured out my own issue. I sub'd a private request to the wrong private request and received an alarming revision message. The thing is, both my husband and I were somehow blind to the reason for the rejection when we r...

Should read monthly - found in the lower left box for the newsletter sign-up. Same box has "recieve" - should be "receive".

Re: Homeschooling....
Gotcha. Glad things are looking up. Had no idea freerice does math too. Thought it was vocab only. Gotta check that out for my kids... For those interested, freerice has the following subjects: Art (famous paintings) English (grammar, vocab) Languages (French, German, Italian Spanish) Chemistry (bas...

Re: Homeschooling....
Hey Elizabeth. Just wanted to say an encouraging word about the steps you're taking. I homeschooled my girls in their elementary grades. If I had it to do over again, I'd probably choose something like K12. We were overseas and at the time online schools were newish, and the private online schools w...

Re: Private request help
Thanks, all. My husband pointed out that the acceptance email from CC states that the submission would only remain exclusive to the client for 3 days. I've never had a client wait longer to purchase, so it was never an issue. So that's cleared up. I'm sure others have said so before, but this is one...

Re: Private request help
I think so, but these are private, not public requests. Private requests are supposed to remain exclusive to the client until purchase, or until the author moves them elsewhere. I've never had this problem before when clicking on the specific private request title to submit, and the only reason I ca...

Re: Private request help
Does anyone else here have insight as to what might have gone wrong? If the private requester issues one request with several titles within it, can you use that to submit multiple articles, or does it cease working after you've submitted the first? I've already moved the articles to the generic priv...

Private request help
Ed, I submitted a spate of articles for a private request, and for each one I chose the correct category, plus the specific private request selection (under "Is this for a request?"). However, all of them are out for public viewing, and though I specified them for my customer I'm concerned...

Re: Theft left and right..
David, Here's one of mine. It must have been stolen between the time I posted and sold it full rights. I almost feel worse about that than if it had never sold. I don't want that good client to go elsewhere for content! On reuters: http://www.reuterspost.com/2009/10/blog-post_6966.html On CC: http:/...

Re: Derailed By Allergies
My family has never had trouble with allergies until this spring. Until the pollen count finally went down a little in our area, my girls both had allergy symptoms for the first time. Someone here blamed it partially on the unseasonably warm weather, which brought all of the trees & weeds into p...

Re: Are authors protected from content theft?
Kinsley - A few of us have had partial articles stolen and posted online as is. Just another reason to dislike content thieves. They either aren't clever enough to notice or they don't care about posting articles that come to a jarring halt. I've flip-flopped on the amount of content I post, but for...
