Question about resubmission form
I've had an article rejected for being in 10pt rather than 12. It's just been rejected again for the same reason but, when I checked the article that I resubmitted, it is definitely in 12pt! I am now about to resubmit it, but I want to make sure I do it correctly. On the form, under 'Add a New File'...

Re: Rejected for spacing issues - formatting problem?
Hi, Lysis; no, it was spacing between words that was the problem, apparently. One example was highlighted and I was asked to remove the space between two words and, when I did, it turned the two words into one, so I just can't see what the problem is! SJHillman, hi; I've always used MS Word and neve...

Rejected for spacing issues - formatting problem?
I have had three articles rejected, all for too many spaces between words, yet when I check what I have submitted, there are no extra spaces between words in any of them. I can't 'correct' mistakes that aren't there! I re-submitted one of them yesterday, and it has been rejected again for the same r...

Re: Sold article that got unsold
I had two dental-related articles sold, then unsold, too. I shall also be checking to see if they are being used elsewhere. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has been taken in like this, but angry that so many of us have been disappointed.

Re: Editing newly-submitted content
Thanks for the reply, Aprilk 10 - it looks very much as if I didn't submit it after all! I even emailed support; obviously, they couldn't find the article! Luckily, like you, I saved the keywords and short summary in a separate document - something I learned in time! Now I have to hope it's accepted...

Editing newly-submitted content
I hope someone can help. I haven't submitted content for some months (I've been busy renovating a property which has been far from problematical!). I'm a bit rusty; I have just submitted an article and, as soon as I clicked 'submit' I realised that I hadn't entered the word count box. Is there a way...

Hi Philton
Thanks for your post. At least I now know why they do it! Obviously, I'm just not cool enough!

Re: Referring to a company whose name is in lowercase
Does anyone else get annoyed by companies who have their company name in lowercase? I don't understand why they don't want the name to stand out. I am glad that Ed has said we should follow tradition and capitalise the names; it just makes more sense!

Re: Do you usually reject low offers?
Hi Hayley Thanks for your comments, and for the encouragement. I would always consider a reasonable offer, of course, but those I've received so far have not reflected the work that went into the articles. The last sale I mentioned has definitely given me the confidence to refuse future unreasonable...

Re: Do you usually reject low offers?
I was offered $15 full rights for something I'd priced at that amount for usage. I turned it down because the offer didn't reflect the time and thought that went into the article. I've just sold it for the second time for the usage price, confirming that I was right to refuse the offer! I've refused...

I'm not sure if this is the correct thread, but I've just come across this site, which all to clearly illustrates the old adage 'it's not what you say, it's how you say it! http://rinkworks.com/said/

Re: Appropriate Quotes
I've really enjoyed reading the posts on here -thanks, everyone. I have a great book called The Wit and Wisdom of Great Writers. Here are some of my favourites: 'An average English word is four letters and a half. By hard, honest labour, I've dug all the large words out of my vocabulary and shaved t...
