How much should I charge?

I just sold a 300 word article to a customer for $10. The customer liked my work and is considering offering me a private request. He/she asked me how much I would charge for a 500 word article for full rights. I have no idea. The first article they bought was about 3.5 cents/word, and if I charged ...

Publishing AC content on CC

I'm new to CC, but I've been writing for Associated Content for about 9 months. I was wondering if any of you out there have put articles you used as "display-only" on AC and tried to sell them for "usage" rights on CC. I guess what I'm really wondering about is this: There are l...

Review or Article?

I just wanted some clarification on what's considered an article vs. a "review." If I'm writing up a piece on the premiere of a new tv reality show, would that be a "review" or an article in the "television" category. Thanks to all who have time to respond! :)

Opinion Pieces

Hey all--Posting here a lot today because I'm just getting started on CC.

I see a lot of advice that states that writers should keep "I" and "You" out of the pieces that they write for this site. Would you all say that that goes for reviews of items as well?

Thanks.

Citing Sources?

Hello all! I'm new on the block, so forgive me if this is a question that comes up a lot--I couldn't find the answer in FAQ.

How does CC want sources to be cited? Is there a place on the website that shows what they want? Thanks!

Pop Culture Topics?

Hello All! I just joined CC and have yet to submit my first article. I'm a little nervous about getting started and was hoping I could bounce an article idea off you all? I would like to write an article about a certain celebrity who is having an ongoing struggle with drug/alcohol/health issues. I w...
