Re: How to negotiate a price with a client
No, you're not missing anything. There's no way to negotiate the price with buyers unless they initiate it. It's been suggested before to add a counter-offer functionality (and it was added for a brief, but it was removed). Perhaps you could try contacting CC and ask they contact the buyer and relay...

Re: Include summary and excerpt in the submitted file as wel
I have always included the summary in the document I submit and never had an issue with this as far as CC and clients are concerned. For the name of the file, I use the title as the name (or the first few words if I have a long title).

Re: Massive content theft
I've noticed that CC has made it so that people can't view article excerpts unless they're logged in (either as a buyer or writer), which makes me think that the thief either has a CC account or has someone doing the theft for him. I don't know the extent of how CC tracks its users and their activit...

Re: account suspension due to "plagiarism"
I'm sorry to hear this and I hope you get a response from CC soon -- just give them time. Technically, though, you're not "working for" CC -- we're independent contractors -- so I'm not sure why you decided to close your Suite 101 account, especially if that could serve as proof of your au...

Re: A question about references
I usually mention the source within the article and skip the reference list. If a requester wants a reference list, that would be the time to do it; otherwise, in-text attribution is usually enough (although that's not to say you can't add a reference list if you prefer that).

Re: References sited in articles
You can include the .com -- you just shouldn't include http:// so mentioning eHarmony.com is allowed (e.g., "According to an eHarmony.com survey...")jellygator wrote:Yes, but you cannot use links or websites. You could say eHarmony, for instance, but not eHarmony.com.

Re: Changing an article's title after it's been accepted?
Re-submit it with a note to the editor that you're submitting a previously accepted article and the only change you've made is the title. The new title needs to be in the document too, so there's really no other way but to re-submit it.

Re: Need to make changes to title
You'll need to delete the article and re-submit. Add a note to the editor that it's a previously approved article -- you just needed to change the title.

Re: Comma Rejection
* Is the editor saying the comma should be added in the first sentence (likely, considering that there is no comma in my original), and deleted in the second sentence? Yes. * If so, why should there be a comma before ''but'', but none before ''and''? There's a comma before "but" because th...

Re: How do I log in to the writer's area of the site?
Just go to constant-content.com then you'll see the login form on the top left of the page, right under the Search form. It's labeled "Login". There is also a link to login on all pages -- top right -- hard to miss: "Login" beside the "Cart" and "Contact" link.

Re: Do you have any articles that have never been sold?
Oh yeah, I have plenty. They do sell. I think last month I sold a few articles that I wrote back in 2008/2009. It's good to have lots of articles in your inventory, especially when you need/have to take time off CC. I didn't submit to CC for 2 months (October/November) because I was traveling overse...

Re: Constant Content Article Vetters
I think CC already has several editors on board. We don't really know how many CC editors there are -- we aren't privy to that information. Before there was only one editor going through all the submissions. Just be patient and keep writing. Your articles will eventually get approved.
