Re: Finding Sold Content on the Web
The first time I notified Google about one of my articles on that site it took them about 2 weeks to take it down. I see that that site is still adding content - a new article from here was added in the last day or two.

Re: Finding Sold Content on the Web
Google took down my article that was posted a second time. Hopefully this site will be taken down for good. Thanks for taking action on this David Kool (great name, btw!).

Re: Finding Sold Content on the Web
Not to sound like a broken record, but the site http://www.reuterspost.com/ has a LOT of stolen content on it. A few months back Google took down one of my stolen articles. Then today, I found this same article reposted there. I informed Google again about this, so hopefully it will be taken down qu...

Re: Worst Writing Job Ever!
I agree with Celeste that the possibility of getting a limited exclusive license is a problem with Seed. I almost wanted one of mine to get bought for this type of license just so I could see how much can be made with page views compared with the page view payments from AC and DS. I wrote one articl...

Re: Worst Writing Job Ever!
I tried Seed a few months back. As a test I wrote 4 articles. They only bought one. I picked titles that I knew I could submit here in case they didn't sell (the writer retains full rights if Seed does not buy the article). I submitted to Seed right after they were featured on Good Morning America a...

Re: Stolen articles available for usage only
Yes, I filled out the copy infringement form with Google. It took Google about a week to look into it and then my article was taken down.

Re: Stolen articles available for usage only
This site is at it again... There is some new CC content on there. Check it out to make sure your content isn't on there if it wasn't paid for... http://www.reuterspost.com/ Google removed my content pretty quickly after I notified them. I don't know why Google hasn't shut them down (or why CC hasn'...

Re: Share Your Milestone Marker!
I hit a dozen licenses sold today! I started a new full-time job this week (I love freelancing, but this opportunity came out of the blue from a regular client (non-CC) and the steady paycheck and benefits were hard to turn down). During a pretty hectic day today I got an email from CC telling me an...

Re: More Stolen Content
Sharion, When I had a problem I sent CC support an email and they provided me a link to an online form where you can submit a DMCA with Google. It took Google about 2 weeks to investigate and take down the content. Unfortunately, I do not have that link anymore. Maybe someone else here or CC support...

Re: Stolen content
I agree. The problem is that writers that do not read this forum probably have no idea their content is on that site.

Re: Stolen content
I just got a message from Google. Since my stolen content was hosted on a Blogger site Google removed the article. The title of the article remains, but when you click on the permalink it now says "Page Not Found."

$1 for an Article???
Does anyone else find it a little disheartening to see a lot of $1 and $2 sales on the recently sold page? I understand this is for usage rights and maybe the authors already made some good money off the articles. But seriously... $1 for an article? I really think this cheapens the site and makes it...

Re: More Stolen Content
I sent the site owner an email earlier today. Even though it sucks that my article was stolen this has actually been a good learning experience. Thanks to everyone for the good advice the last few days.

Re: More Stolen Content
Thanks for the info Amy. I'm taking this whole thing as a learning experience since I'm pretty new to this. I went onto whois and there is a contact email address for the reuterspost site. It is registered in Russia. Should I send this person an email, or just let Google eventually handle it?
