It's been a slow year for me. That's why I started looking around for more work and thought I'd give this place a try. I lost two regular clients to bankruptcy earlier this year, and have another that owes me money and is rumoured to be in difficulty. Other regular and semi-regular clients aren't or...

I couldn't stay at home and do nothing but write. I tried that for a while, and got pretty stir crazy. So I work part-time fixing tools...kind of an as-needed thing, and I started doing light contracting again. It gets me out of the house and gives me something to write about.

Excellent tips, Celeste. Something I find helpful is to look at past work and explore different aspects of it. For instance, I write how-to articles for a regional home reno magazine (at least I hope I still do...my last cheque is overdue and I heard they were in financial difficulty :shock: ), but ...
