Question about Writer's Pools

I want to apply to the ebook pool and a few others but I just want to make sure of something. I may come off as paranoid but I just want to make sure that the sample we submit in the ebook application form is going to be confidential. I ghost-write ebooks on a regular basis and I definitely don't wa...

Screenshots?

I have a quickie question. I have been meaning to write some articles on technical analysis in trading and I would like to know if I can add screenshots. I mean it's all well and fine explaining how to trade a double bottom chart pattern but showing how to identify one without a screenshot can be a ...

Re: Quick grammar question

I don't think it's the "come the end of the month" that's the problem. The sentence does sound a bit awkward (to me at least) and flows better with an additional "you". "You can forget that the little things add up, and come the end of the month you may be wondering where yo...

Re: Support: Please Pay Out Twice a Month?

Any news on this? It's been a while and I was wondering if Constant would be kind enough to give us an idea at least as to yay or nay. If yay, it would be very nice and it would be great if we could get an ETA. Thanks a bunch.

Re: Quicker turn around time

Hi,

If your articles were submitted for public requests those are always reviewed quickly, usually under 24 hours unless there is a hurricane or tornado

Re: "And" in a Series - Help?

Guests to the picnic brought salad, burgers, macaroni and cheese, ice cream. This is a bit off topic but wouldn't another and in there be a bit repetitive? When I get sentences like this I always stop to try and figure out a way to rephrase it without all the ands. I usually end up with something l...

Re: Brians' Errors

Ugh! I just saw "loose" again!!! And it was on a self-help site for a company that sells a massive amount of self help CDs. I mean with the millions they make they can't afford to pay someone to proofread their web copy? Seriously! Let's all "loose weight" together...

Re: Capitalization in Title

Thanks very much.

Great idea Sharion :D... I just often worry about how good some spellcheckers are because, for example, I run Linux on my computer and let's just say that openoffice still needs some work on their spelling tools lol

Re: Brians' Errors

I'll have a peek at this later but there are two that really get my hair standing on end. loose instead of lose - I mean how the nuts are you going to loose weight? I have been trying to visualize it for ages and I can't come up with an image yet lol then instead of than Those two seem to be an epid...

Capitalization in Title

I have a quickie question about capitalizing "that" in a title. My brain says yes but when I do it, it sort of looks wrong. I know that may sound strange but I am very visual when it comes to everything from learning to writing. Ed will probably kill me when he hears this, but that's how I...

Re: Write or DIE!

Thanks for this Scott, it will be great for me. I am not necessarily looking for something to prod me to write faster but something to remind me to do it lol... I have a terrible habit of wandering off to surf and do other stuff in the middle of an article so some good prodding will be excellent :D

Resources

I thought it might be a good idea to post our favorite places for research and any new interesting stuff we find which may be helpful.

I just found this site which has links to a lot of resources including grammar, writing styles etc.

Help! Photo problems

Hi

For some funky reason there is someone else's photo showing up on my profile. I tried changing it by reloading my photo and even though it shows the right photo when I click to change it, when my profile page loads it still shows another photo.
Please help! Thanks. :D
