Re: Hi, I'm a new writer with a couple questions
Hi David Welcome to CC. I'm also very new here and have spent a lot of time in the forums - which has been well worth while, for picking up tips on many aspects of writing as well as the nuts and bolts of CC. Your question about photo prices was raised on another thread. http://www.constant-content....

Re: Write or DIE!
This sounds great. Because I never learned to type properly I look at my fingers while I'm writing, then when I glance up at the screen to check for typos I start revising and redrafting sentences. This slows me down and I never have a first draft that I can look at objectively. Getting a target num...

Re: Change PUblic Request "Price Range" Field, pretty please? :)
As a new writer, I read through the forums and the pricing guidelines, and sat down and worked out how much I need to be able to earn from writing, so that I can pay my bills. Having worked that out, I've been struggling with whether to respond to Public Requests that were asking for 500-600 words f...

Re: It's TRUE! It's exciting! Sold one!
Congratulations! I made my first sale this month and I can't wait until next week to get actual payment for writing. CC is so much better than some other websites *coughHeliumcough* where it takes forever to earn enough to qualify for a payment (I'm going to write off the $5.93 they owe me but will ...

Re: Twitter RSS Feed
I used to have a Twitter account, but gave it up. However I did have Twitter and Facebook set up so that my tweets automatically became my Facebook status. The system automatically strips out @replies, so they don't appear on Facebook. I'm thinking about opening a new Twitter account for professiona...

First sale!
Just logged on to discover that I have made my first sale! $40 for full rights. Out of the seven articles that I've had accepted so far, this was probably the one that took the least time to research and write, so not sure what to make of that...

Types of rights for public requests
I'm still trying to get my head around how the request system works, and I have a question about requests that are asking for quite a lot of work (800+ words, quite a lot of research) but saying they'll only offer $10-$20. Assuming that I don't just say "No way am I going to do four hours' work...

Re: Public requests for multiple articles
OK thanks Celeste. So if there's a request for six pieces and I think that I'll only manage to get four written, it's still worth writing them? I know that the more articles I write overall, the more I'll sell, but in the case of requests for many articles on the same subject I'll still have a chanc...

Public requests for multiple articles
Having got over the hurdle of getting a first article accepted, I'm trying my hand at writing for a public request. I think I can do reasonably well on the "Amsterdam" request - my memories need topping up with some research but I can distinguish fact from hearsay fairly easily - but I hav...

Update: the third piece was rejected as I'd quoted some statistics without quoting a source. Duh!

Accepted!
Just had two emails in quick succession to say that two of my first three articles have been accepted (still waiting to hear about the third).
So relieved!

Re: Another newbie from the UK
If your articles haven't been reviewed yet, you may want to remove them, add your byline, and resubmit. But it's up to you. Putting in your byline is not required, but if you don't have one, the buyer can't really be held accountible for not including it in usage or unique articles. Buyers only rec...
