The Dynamics of Writer Reputation
I've been struggling with the issue of how to build up a writer reputation, or if "writer reputation" even matters. I use a pen name, because I feel like since my profession is in engineering, I should probably write about engineering under my name and not a bunch of random articles. Then ...

MLA Citation Question
There are a lot of websites out there from reputable organizations that do not list the author for every piece of writing. I have started citing them all as " _____ Staff". Is this acceptable (assuming no author is explicitly given)?

That is a great help - your "geeky" organization will take you far.
Thank you.

Re: How to Sell More Article Part II
I don't think the mean is a meaningless statistic, but seeing a spread would be even more helpful. Seeing that some articles sell the same day while others take years does slightly skew the impression it would give, but you need to start somewhere when estimating how much you can make month by month...

Re: How to Sell More Article Part II
The average lag time between acceptance and sale would have been a very useful metric, but you said that you are working on that - when can we expect an update? In the meantime, does anywhere care to make an estimate on their personal lag time?

Need Clarification on Citing Websites as Sources
Hi, my article "All Exercise Routines Must Change" was rejected for two reasons: a misused semicolon and the presence of website addresses. I see how a colon was probably better suited than semicolon, but my citation seems to be appropriate per the following statements: "If you must, ...

Selling Articles Previously Displayed on my Website
Hi, I used to have a few articles on a blog that I think would be good material for Constant Content. I took the blog down about a month ago, but the articles can still be found in Google's cache (if you search for the exact title and then click on "cached" in Google's search results, it w...

Re: Need Help Understanding Rejections
Thanks Lysis! It always feels good to have a little noob support. It sounds like they are pretty fair about the rejection process so I will lay the stress aside for the time being. I appreciate all of your tips.

Need Help Understanding Rejections
Hi, I just joined and in reading over the introductory material I read somewhere that you only get 3 rejections and then you can no longer submit content. In seeing that publishers want to choose only the best content, wouldn't rejections be extremely common? It seems like it wouldn't be possible fo...
