Will a Good CC Profile Help to Get More Sales?
I'm curious about this because I haven't put much of anything in my profile and don't have much to put in it yet. This is the first place I've ever written anything, so CC is my writing resume :) . I also bet that there are others interested in the role a CC profile plays in a customers decision to ...

Re: Request for help editing a sentence.
Thanks again for the help! My article was accepted without complaint -- kind of a little thrill when it goes through so easily.

Re: Request for help editing a sentence.
After haggling with the sentence a bit, I came up with this instead:
"The oral muscle control that a baby requires for speech takes longer to develop than the hand control required for simple sign language."
I think it's clearer and flows better than the former wording.
Thoughts?

Re: Question about lists and use of the colon
Why? I usually don't leave an extra line in that situation because I feel it looks more natural. Just curious -- if there's good reasoning I plan to revise my writing style.jak wrote:Yes, you should.

Request for help editing a sentence.
Good day fellow CCers. I am just about finished with another article, but I'm having trouble with one particularly fussy sentence. Do you have some advice for me? I'll extend my gratitude in advance. Here's the sentence: "The muscle control required for a baby to speak, using his mouth, is more...

Re: General Rejection Question
I have a follow-up question on this -- Is there any way to tell if I'm on thin ice or not? I'm brand new to the site and I know that I've had two blatant mistakes resulting in rejections and on my third submission, my article was accepted. I'm now a bit hesitant to submit another article -- probably...

Re: Question on first-person POV
Well, turns out that Ed was right again!
I had one instance of the word "me" hidden away in my intro.
Thanks!

Question on first-person POV
I recently submitted my first article -- it was rejected the first time for a glaring grammatical error. I subsequently re-reviewed the article multiple times and it was just rejected again, but this time for first-person POV infraction. I could only find one place where there was the possibility of...

How do I find my old submission?
I was wondering if I could find my rejected submission so as to copy the short summary from the old one into the new one.
Thanks!
