Customer has the wrong price listed
Hey y'all, here's a heads up in case anyone is checking out the requested content right now: There's a customer called Liu who's looking for longterm software writers and they've got a request up for a 300 word article for $20-30. THIS IS NOT THE PRICE THEY'RE ACTUALLY WILLING TO PAY. I messaged the...

Anyone else having a problem with email notifications?
I'm not getting any notifications of new requested content. I've received nothing after the 7th of April, in fact - is it just me?
I've checked my settings in CC and I should be getting something. There's nothing in my spam folder. My email address is correct.
Anyone have any other ideas?

Re: CC rule for date formatting?
Thanks for the advice. This is for a public request, so I can't wait. I think I've read this thing fifty times already. I've analysed it to death and then some, and I'm still half-sure they'll find another thing wrong with it. Is it normal to get so stressed out over one article?! I'm going to go ov...

Re: CC rule for date formatting?
Yeah, see, here's the problem - I've had an article sent back a second time for review because the date wasn't in the format CC wanted. As in, I wrote it like so - On the 30th of November, 2007 - and they said it should be changed to 'On Nov. 30, 2007'. I thought abbreviations would be strictly verb...

CC rule for date formatting?
Can someone link me the CC rule for dates within an article? I don't know where to find it offhand.

Need a good word processor
I've had a few articles sent back due to bad formatting and spelling mistakes that the program missed. I was using Open Office, but the spellcheck didn't work properly, and since then I've been bouncing around through a few different programs. Can someone give me the name of a good word processor wi...

Re: Pitifully low offer
Just want to say I've gotten a few of those $3 offers - one for an article that's listed for much, much more than that.
Rejected out of hand... we gotta eat too, you know. $3 won't even buy me lunch.

Pitifully low offer
$15 for unique rights for an 800 word article? I'll be damned if I'll sell my work for so little. It's almost insulting. What would be the average amount per word that people sell the various rights for? What's the lowest offer you've ever taken, and the lowest you've refused immediately? How do peo...

Re: Mistakes, and how to avoid them
I think it may be based on whether the noun in question has two s's in it, as a rule of thumb. See for example, Jesus and Moses have two s's - James and Charles have only one. I was under the impression that either usage was accepted and it depends on readability. If the word would read badly with t...

Re: Mistakes, and how to avoid them
That apostrophe s usage always read a bit strangely to me. I hear it used in speech, but written down the s seems to be omitted more often than not.

This is awesome - I was just looking for something like this yesterday to promote my blog!
I'm totally new to SEO. Graphic design and nerdiness don't make for good marketing skills I think I'll bookmark yours and Celete's sites and get reading.

Seems like it's happening to a lot of people. Still, there's money to be made with a quick turn of phrase, so who are we to say no? Welcome to CC ^_^
