CC had a hit from an old blog I had closed years ago. I had posted a version of the article there and it was still on some search engines. CC was kind enough to verify that I was indeed the author.
Be careful what you post on the Internet. Some of it never dies.

Re: Reselling something already published in my name
My pen name here is GCBourque. I don't think it's to hard to deduce that we are the same person. Check out my author pages here and on Helium. It's even the same picture.
Besides, I put up a previous article with the same circumstance, and it was accepted.

Re: Reselling something already published in my name
Well, I posted something just for usage that I have on Helium and it got rejected with the following "helpful" comment: ==== Editorial Information for Your Article: ==== We accept only completely original content. ==== End Editorial Information for Your Article ==== I replied that this thr...

$10 - $20 ?
Okay, so a lot of clients offer "$10-$20" for publicly requested articles. How do they decide what to actually pay you? Is it totally their discretion? If so, what's the point of thinking you might get $20 if the client can low-ball you with no explanation?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Reselling something already published in my name
If I've published an article on another site (e.g. Helium), but it clearly has my byline, can I also sell it on CC for usage? I use my real name and not a pen name, and my name is relatively unique.
Thanks,
Gary Bourque

Re: We're getting a facelift!
I cleared my browsing data and it fixed the problem. But it did look weird on Google Chrome.

Re: Questions about Public Requests and Submissions
Thanks for the replies. I assume on spec just mean writing something that no one is specifically asking for, like a spec home.
But, how do you know what to write? I know the stuff that gets searched for is a point of focus, but is there anything else you think about?
Thanks,
G

Questions about Public Requests and Submissions
I was wondering whether when and if I submit articles for public requests and the client doesn't choose them, do they automatically go into my inventory of articles available for general sale? I would rather write for requests and if not chosen, be content with getting the inventory. I'm not real cr...

Re: We're getting a facelift!
The site looks discombobulated in Google Chrome. Also the Contact Button doesn't work at all, say invalid page.

Re: CC, Helium and other sites
Once it sells here for usage rights you cannot sell it for unique or full rights anyways. The only way it can be sold once this happens is for usage, so you can always post it and maximize your income. I guess it shows I'm new at this, huh? Then again, I suppose the one that bought for usage...

Re: CC, Helium and other sites
If you post something on CC and it sells for usage and then you post it on Helium, does that mean you cannot thereafter sell it here for unique or full rights, and so have to pull those options from the article?
Thanks

CC, Helium and other sites
I'm not new to writing, but I am new to these online writing broker websites. They each seem to have their particular angle and benefit, and I'm wondering how those with experience use them. It seems that CC is the place to come to sell hard articles outright, while Helium is the place to go to get ...
