Going From A Mistake or Two To Suspension
At the end of last month, when CC was regularly reviewing my work, I may have had a mistake or two on my articles, but nothing egregious. Then, the "We don't consider content with grammar errors or articles that have not been adequately proofread for very basic errors" rejections started c...

Re: Question regarding article acceptance
Yeah, I had articles and resubmissions waiting for over a week before clearing my queue.

Re: Did all the editors go on vacation?
Well, I got a few reviewed, but they were some of my recent submissions, and were rejected for the "we don't except articles with..". And because of that, they took out the rest of my articles from my queue (which is ridiculous when there were articles over a week old that were not reviewi...

Re: Did all the editors go on vacation?
Uh, 35% percent is still preferable to me. No rate hikes please :) Well, the rate hike would be contingent upon reviewing within the allotted timeframe, or it would go back to 35%. Yes, I'm making up my own rules as I go along. 8) A suggestion for the writers side of things: submit carefully, one a...

Re: Did all the editors go on vacation?
Good for getting your articles reviewed, although I would rather have them reviewed first-in, first-out instead of waiting for a week. Especially with resubmissions.

Re: Did all the editors go on vacation?
I'm with you guys - it's starting to get very, very annoying. Especially since I have resubmitted articles that have not been re-reviewed a week after they first reviewed them, a week after originally submitted them. I would gladly take a 60% cut if that means I don't have to wait over a week for ea...

RE: Resubmitted Articles
Are resubmitted articles now on the back of the pile? A couple weeks ago a resubmitted article would be re-reviewed the same or next day. I've resubmitted articles a week ago that have not yet been re-reviewed. Is something different, or just bad luck? TIA.

Re: Newbie question re: resubmission
Upload a new file and hit submit. That's worked for me. Unless I'm doing something incorrectly.

Re: Grammatical Errors and Whatnot
Hi, I'm one of the editors, Terry, and wanted to clarify some of the things we look for in reviewing articles. If an article has a lot of long, wordy, passive and/or awkward sentences, then we do consider that a problem, and will reject on that basis. We do, however, try to provide examples if the ...

Re: Grammatical Errors and Whatnot
You are wise to wait before resubmitting until you find your feet. Read the forums to get your bearings. Read articles submitted, particularly those of best selling writers. Think about looking online for some basic grammar instruction, or invest in a basic grammar handbook. Have a dictionary at ha...

Grammatical Errors and Whatnot
Before I resubmit anything else, I want to make sure of my submissions as I don't want to appear to be spamming this site and get cut off. I submitted by three articles - my first articles - and they all came back that I had grammatical errors and needed "to be thoroughly proofread". I fin...
