Re: Quantity Question

Hi, I'm pretty sure that writers pool requests that are for multiple articles remain live until the quota is filled. I usually submit articles one by one (just in case one gets sent back for review) and just attach them to the relevant request each time. Once the article is submitted, you could drop...

Re: Quantity Question

My understanding is that only 1 person can claim a writer pool request, even if it for multiple articles. If the request can be split between multiple writers, it will be broken down into seperate requests. I've seen some requests listed as part 1 of 5, for example.

Re: Attach a note to the editors?

In similar situations, I've left a note to the editor in the short summary. It's not something that's encouraged, but it's really the only way of passing on a message like that.

Hope that helps,
Lynne

Re: How do you score private requests?

My first private requests came from a couple of clients for whom I had written articles for public requests. They liked what I had written and wanted a regular supply of similar articles for their respective blogs. I have also had private requests come to me because I have a track record of writing ...

Provided the rest of the article is not in first person, you should be fine. The editor will read your statements in context.

Re: Hey.

I'm just a writer, so I'm only giving my opinion on this, but I think that the lists of latest articles and recently sold articles are not the best place to get a feel for the volume of articles sold. The latest articles listed are only a selection of those submitted, as the software seems to be set...

Re: Question about the Review Process

At CC, writers are expected to self-edit and submit error-free articles (although CC recognizes everyone is human and the odd error is inevitable, hence the opportunity to correct and resubmit). Editors at CC don't make corrections. If they find an error, the article will be returned. If an error ha...

Re: Misspelled Title...I can't change it!

I don't think a title can be edited after submission. I think you would need to delete and resubmit.

Re: Would more words for more money = mo' or no sales?

It could go either way. If they have a budget and no more cash to spend, going over the limit could put them off. Alternatively, they may be quite happy to pay a bit more for a well-written, well-reasoned article. I tend to be quite cautious, but perhaps it may be worth the gamble if you feel the ar...

Re: Who are the buyers?

It's hard to generalise about the buyers. They could be anyone from a small business setting up a website for the first time to a large company looking to keep their content fresh. There are buyers who publish on blogs and on article marketing sites. Some buyers use articles as part of their email m...

Re: Rewrite/Rejected question

I would suggest that you re-read the whole article to check whether there are any other issues that need to be addressed. The editors will often stop reading when they find an issue that needs to be rectified and there may be typos further on that need to be ammended. If an article is returned, I al...

Re: Missing Customer?

I'm just guessing, but the requester may have closed the request if he has received an article or articles that meet his needs.

If a requester does not receive an article or enough articles, he may extend the deadline.

Don't know for sure, but those are my suggestions.

Re: Requested Content

Yes - but I think it may depend on how many articles you have had accepted. In the "Requested Content" view, you should see an "Actions" column which gives the option to "Send Message/Attach Article". If you click on that link you should be able to attach an article tha...
