I guess it does make some sense for writers, too, Ed. Just that for some strange reason I find that my sold usage articles usually get sold for other rights too:)
Do let me know if you find out anything about a policy of a "deadline" by which the "upgrade" can happen.

Re: Article for use bought for unique rights by same client
Hi Ed, Thanks for the prompt answer. Sigh. I guess it makes complete sense from the client's viewpoint. I guess a policy change is a policy change, and we have to live with it. What I am curious to know however, is whether there is any deadline by which this kind of "upgrade" can take plac...

Article for use bought for unique rights by same client

Re: The Incredible Rejection 2008
"It would be very nice to know the specifics though, as now I AM CAN not be sure what the exact reasons of the rejection were." "I didn't intend to use an edgy tone at all, if SUCH IMPRESSION formed, I do apologize." These are some of the errors in the post, though errors in the ...

Re: Rejection of article: personal account
Thanks, Ed, for your explanation of the issues, I think I can see some light already:). Will shelf it for now, and have a look at it again after a few weeks. Submitting another article today, not to any request. Let us see how it goes.I know I should not take rejections personally, but I guess we wr...

Re: Rejection of article: personal account
Hi Ed You know I was just kidding:) I know I can depend on you to try and be fair and square 100 % of the time. I try and learn from the rejections here, and that learning is one of the things that lets me make good money when I write for magazines. I defend CC on other forums, and feel it is a good...

Re: Rejection of article: personal account
Ed, I removed the personal angle, and now the reason for the second rejection is :"redundancy, clarity/organization, and word choice", though the article is unchanged other than the removal of the "personal angle". You guys are sure good for a girl's morale, lols. Anything that s...

Re: Emails Going Out Okay?
I am getting all the notifications ok. The only thing was when I posted on the forum a while ago, the post disappeared. And now I think a new look of the forum has come up, in blue instead of red. Maybe the post disappeared cos the forum was changing just then? Anyway, I posted again on the rejectio...
