Can I submit an excerpt of an article on CC as a writing sample?

How do you write a book title in the article title? Can it be written in italics or underlined, the old-fashioned way?

If I sell full rights, the buyer can remove my name.

Have any of you used Grammarly? Is it secure? I just used the free version. A curious thing happened. I checked my own very original work. A plagiarism notice appeared during the check. I rechecked each paragraph separately and everything was original.

We are having a semantics problem. A summary is a synopsis. Therefore, the long summary cannot be the complete article. So it is okay for it to be half the full submission?

You can probably tell from all my questions that I am new to this.
If an article is sold for full rights, can I still use it for my portfolio? As I am new to this, I am trying to build one.

Sorry, I meant to ask about the length of the short summary. Is their a maximum length? I don't think of the long summary as my article. I know the length of the abstract. The summary should be at least a third of the article. This is what my original question was about. Is their a maximum length?

What is the difference between writing this paper and this article in the short summary or introduction to the full length submission?
My article was rejected because I wrote this paper. However, I see approved submissions using this article. Please explain.
