Re: Approaches
Sometimes I'll talk with these types of people just so I can get a good laugh out of it :) A funny one I found today on freelancer.com was someone that wanted 30 500-word articles at $1 an article. They set the minimum bid at $250 for the project. You pay freelancer 10% of your bid if awarded. So wh...

Re: Reasonable value for our 35% fee?
Personally, I'd like to see minor mistakes like a missing, or misplaced comma be fixed rather than having it sent back to me. I've four articles that were returned to me sitting in my files right now because of comma's. I understand they don't want to fix big mistakes, ones that could affect the wor...

Re: Editors & Review Times
I think it would be great if they would fix the minor mistakes instead of returning them to us. It's very disheartening when you wait a week for the article to be reviewed only to have it returned because you forgot a comma. I understand that if the article is riddled with mistakes to return them, b...

Anyone heard of Viewshound?
I know that many of the writers here also write for different revenue sharing sites and I was wondering if any of you wrote for Viewshound.com? I don't usually write for sites like this, but they've recently opened a content store so I'm reconsidering. The biggest problem I have with their store is ...

Re: Suggestion, maybe.
If you're worried about your byline then I just wouldn't include it. As far as looking for a way to get your name out there, I would suggest using sites like hubpages, ezine, associated content, etc. Most of these do revenue sharing so you have a chance to make a little cash, and you can get out the...

Re: Only first page of articles available
I just did a quick search and it looks fine to me. There are links at both the top and the bottom to other pages of articles for sale, and I'm not a buyer. Not sure why you can't see anymore.

I'm trying, but my mind just isn't into this month. I've actually started a few different stories, but just can't get any traction going on them. I'll keep plugging along though Good luck to anyone that is participating!

Re: No article length selected; how long should an article be?
I think that 500 words is pretty much the standard that most people are looking for. That's where I usually try to keep my articles. Sometimes I do shorter ones, but not often.

Re: What are our tax responsibilities here?
Paying the social security parts sucks! Most people don't realize that in a normal job the employer pays have the Social Security. It's quite the eye opener when you're paying all of it yourself. I put about 1/3 of earnings into savings for tax time. That usually covers the fed & state taxes for...

Widget problems
Hey everyone :) I was wondering if anyone was having problems with the author's widget for their blog? I put it on my, but it's just a little box with a link to CC. It doesn't show me or any of the articles I've written. I would really like to have it on my site, but if it's just gonna link back to ...

I use this site http://www.spellchecker.net/spellcheck/ to double check my grammar and punctuation before I send out my articles. It's really good at catching the stupid little mistakes that I miss.
