Re: Just got my first offer
The article sold today for my asking price, to a different client.
No more BO for me, I think, unless it's a really old dud sitting around.

Yes, I think in the future I will not offer the option. I really want to sell here because I want to get a fair price for my work.

Just got my first offer
Well, I was excited to get my first offer, however, they were offering less for full rights than I was asking for usage. I think it's a solid article, and I think I priced it very fairly, so I rejected it. I admit, it felt kind of foolish not to take a bird in the hand. What is everyone's general po...

Poetry?
The guidelines state that no poetry or fiction is allowed. I found a few entries under
"Creative Writing" that are either poems or examples of creative writing that I would have classified as
fiction. Are these older, or is there some loophole there?

Re: Serious formatting snafu
It's really stressing me out. That's two strikes...and for formatting!!
I did read the guidelines before submitting, I set the docs up to be in proper paragraph spacing, font, ect.

Serious formatting snafu
I have had two articles returned to me for formatting issues. I wrote them in Times New Roman, 12pt, properly spaced paragraphs. Both articles showed up to the editors as being in a different font with 11pt. I checked it on my computer, made certain I reset the values, just in case, and submitted ag...

Re: Any fiction writers here?
I do some fiction writing, and I know quite a few other do as well, but I believe that CC states they do not accept fiction works. I'm not sure
how that would work out as a private request.

Hits on articles that aren't reviewed
I am confused about why this would be happening. Can the client see the article, even though it's not officially for sale yet?
What happens if I get an offer on an article that is not yet reviewed?

How Does Reviewing Work with Conversational, Blog type?
It is my understanding that CC has very strict requirements for quality. How does that work out if you are trying to submit a more relaxed, casual blog type entry? Is this simply not a good platform for that type of work, or is that taken into account with CC's editors? I wanted to do series of blog...
