I just tested mine. Safari had about a 20 second delay, but Firefox was nearly instant. I don't know if that's helpful, but thought I'd offer it, just in case.

Hmm... That might solve the problem if
1) it is true that the byline should be removed when an article is changed and
2) the customer actually does this.
