Re: How Best to Provide Samples to a Client?
I think you would find that contacting a client this way and providing free samples would be a breach of CC's guidelines. It would be the same as selling your CC articles outside of CC, since you would have no way of knowing what would happen to the articles. They couldn't be paid for though CC sinc...

Re: Threat download detected
Isabel, so sorry to hear that. I was lucky that the antivirus detected it or I would have opened it too. Hope no one else gets caught.

Threat download detected
Hi, I just received this emai nd it was tossed out by my computer when I tried to open it. Customer Angcalhnn55 writes: Hello, I checked your profile and I'm impressed. My Payment Terms are different though; take a look and let me know if that's something you can do: The threat is contained in a zip...

Re: Constant Content's Aversion to Promotional Content
Speaking of bylines, I was just told not to put my name and year of publication at the bottom of the article. I have done this ever since I joined in 2010 but I guess this is also due to the end of usage rights. Still it feels strange not to include it.

Re: Problems with getting payment
This is from the CC Help page 'How does the licence system work?' The Usage License allows you to use the website content one time, but you will not own the content. Other buyers may have already purchased the article for usage rights or may buy the article after you. In addition, the article writer...

Must have been a glitch, it's all gone back the way it was. Certainly makes things more user friendly.

Re: My Content
All I have is three lines at the top of the page, right corner, which leads to a navigation page - My Projects, My Revision Requests, Received Offers, Requested Content, Writing Ideas, My Account Dashboard, My Profile (nothing in the any of them for my content). Is that how it is supposed to look? I...

Re: Plagiarism rejection for unpublished content
Actually I have always thought that CC was paranoid, stepping back and slapping on a gas mask every time a submission smelled the slightest bit suspect. After reading this I am not surprised any more. You mean so called writers buy cheap content for full rights and try to flog it off as their own? D...

Re: Why can't I delete an article with a sale?
That makes sense, Lysis, and so does leaving up usage sales, as they might sell again. But articles sold for full rights still have an 'edit' function. Does this mean we can rewrite them and put them up for sale again? Some of them are quite request-specific, though - if the requestor wants to downl...

Re: Improving A Poor Sales Rate
I've been with CC since 2005, and while business has been better than now, it has always fluctuated. Sometimes I can't sell enough, other times my sales stay stubbornly at zero, like now. As Lysis and Jasmine said, it's cyclic and supplemental. The batch requests are probably best for regular money ...

Re: Anyone doing these G/O Digital Requests?
Has anyone noticed that wstreatment.com just leads to a Host Gator page? The site doesn't even exist - or at least not yet. Not sure what any of it means but I have switched to idle to avoid these requests - still getting them though. I am hoping CC isn't so focused on these things that everything e...

Re: Cannot Submit New Work/ Cannot Edit Profile
It seems to me you are getting Edit My Account instead of the page you want, as the two tabs are close to each other. I am not sure why this is. It could be a browser issue as you say you are using Fiefox V 35. I am using Chrome which works fine for me on CC and takes me to the right page. I suggest...

That shouldn't happen.CC does not offer articles for free any more (once back in the day but not now). You will have to keep on at Support about this one.

Re: Cannot Submit New Work/ Cannot Edit Profile
You should have 'Edit My Request Settings' under 'My Account' on the left side of the page. This takes you to that section.
