Re: Changing rights on article
Since the article had already gone through review months ago, and originality/ownership was established, I hoped this might not be a problem. But that's why I asked. So delete article instead of changing the rights usage? Bummer.

Changing rights on article
Am considering using one of my existing CC articles for my own use since it has not generated a lot of hits. Before I do this I want to make sure I understand --- I delete the full & unique prices and only list usage, correct? Also, if I publish this article it would be under a different name th...

Re: Writer Pools Now Available to Customers
That's strange. I assume you already have at least 10 articles approved? At least 10 articles purchased? Yes. 10 articles sitting out in the directory? Maybe. Maybe not. I usually stick to Private Requests so I'm not generating a lot of articles for the general hopper. Maybe that's what I need to i...

Re: Writer Pools Now Available to Customers
Hmmm. . . not for me. I'm signed in, but when I click on "Writing Pool Settings" I see the screen you described but with gray buttons below "blog" or "white papers". Those buttons read "unavaiable" (yes it's misspelled on all the buttons) and I can't click on ...

Re: Writer Pools Now Available to Customers
If you click on "writers pool" in the left side pane, you should be taken to the section where you can apply for the different pools. Until you do that and get accepted, the writers pool requests will be unavailable. Is that still available as an option? I saw it at one time, but now can'...

Re: Still More Theft
I've also noticed that people have been stealing my blog posts. That just stinks. Hope you get your articles pulled. Don't know if this will help with your blog theft, but I use WP-CopyProtect (widget) to keep the right-clickers away. It won't deter the serious thief, but the lazy ones are d...

Paid but not notified?
Yesterday (8/22), I noticed that I was credited for a sale from 8/18, but I haven't received a CC message saying that the article was sold, nor has my client responded to several messages regarding this article series. I need to upload another article for this client, but am wondering if my inbox is...

Re: Queue Getting Backed Up Again?
I saw a message on the home page that there was a higher than normal number of submissions, so the approval process was slower than normal.

Re: getting published tips?
At Celeste's suggestion, I'm starting a new thread, carried over from a discussion on rejections. The question is: cc is great, but how can you also get some of those higher-paying gigs at glossy magazines, adversising agencies, etc.? I've been published in a few print magazines, but it seems like ...

Re: Private Request Submissions
This same customer has asked me to write a series of articles for him, but his initial private request "tag" has expired. When I uploaded the second article in the series, I put it under "Private Request", but now I wonder how the system will know to notify him that it is ready. ...

Re: Private Request Submissions
On the writing submission FAQ there is a statement that PDF file formats are accepted, but not preferred, for the CC upload process. My client wanted the document in pdf but when I went to submission page, the directions stated only .DOC, .RFT, and .TXT formats were accepted. So, a suggestion to the...

Private Request Submissions
Hi, I've been away from CC for awhile, but have had a previous customer contact me for a series of articles. I'm now bumping around the site, trying to refresh my memory on submitting articles, but can't find the one tidbit - more than likely a forum note - about private requests that I really need....

Re: Using "You" in Articles - What are Your Thoughts?
[quote="dsletten"] I wrote one article where I was giving the parent tips on how to treat a specific childhood illness and I wasn't allowed to use "you" so there were a lot of "the child" in it instead of "your child". After a time, it sounded strained, but th...
