Re: Potential Purchaser asking for changes/customization
Thank you! This was very helpful. I have written back to the client and we'll see what happens from there. I appreciate you taking the time to answer me!

Potential Purchaser asking for changes/customization
I have been messaged by a potential purchaser of a legal-oriented article who wants some content specific to their state added, and said that they would supply some research links, as well as typical call-to-action kind of conclusion stuff. They said that they cannot see the whole text of the articl...

Re: How to Use Rejected Articles?
I have been frustrated with that too! Sometimes it feels like a particular editor has a pet peeve or something because I'll get rejections for things that were never previously an issue. If it gets rejected twice, I've begun pulling it down before I'm told not to resubmit. My plan is to use it elsew...

Re: What constitutes a blog submission?
Late to this question, but I don't use the plain blog category at all unless there is no category more specific. For health-related topics, I use Health & Lifestyles. If it doesn't seem to fit clearly into one of the subcategories, you can just list your article under simply "Health" o...

Deleting and Resubmitting Articles
In my thread about an article stuck in "waiting" status, one person mentioned that they delete and resubmit articles to get them out of that status, which reminded me of more questions I have: --Do you make any changes when you resubmit the articles? --If you don't make any changes, do you...

Re: Article has been "Waiting" for a Week
I sent a note to support and the one that had been "waiting" the longest was released back into the catalog that day. The other one was not then (but it hadn't been on hold as long either) but I checked this morning and it's back to being "live" again now. Thanks for the feedback...

Re: Article has been "Waiting" for a Week
As of Monday 4/1 the original one is still "waiting" and and one I noticed that was "waiting" on Friday is still in the same status. Gonna try Support through the website form but I've had mixed results with that in the past. Will report back!

Article has been "Waiting" for a Week
One of my articles is showing as "waiting" in my content list, and has been for about a week. When does such a hold expire (I assume no one else can see it or buy it while it's "waiting"), or is there someone I can contact to have the hold removed?
Thanks,
Colleen
Thanks,
Colleen

Re: Any Changes I Should Know About?
I think HiredGun has the right idea. Some editors reject an article if it has an overt editor note in the short description, but you can "bury" the note in your description and get your message across to them as well as the potential buyer. I always write my short summaries so that the las...

Long Delay in Review
I know that review times can vary a lot depending on the number of editors working and the amount of material coming in, but over the summer I was pleased with how quickly my articles were being reviewed. It seemed like there had been a big improvement. However, lately it's gotten slower again, and ...

Re: Forbidden Words on CC
The thing that is most annoying to me is the seemingly ever expanding ban on anything approaching first person. I get that first person essays are banned and have been as long as I've been here (though there are still plenty of personal essays, poetry and fiction lurking in the catalog from the earl...

Interesting, thanks for responding! I haven't used Evernote before, but I guess this could work the same way with a Google Doc right?

How to do article that is meant to have links?
I have an idea for an article that, for someone to use on their blog or other web publication, would pretty much require them to add images at least, if not actual links. I know we can't include actual images or links to show the purchaser where the pictures are that the article is describing. Or is...

Casting Calls and Expectations
Not sure if this is okay to post about here, but I wanted to vent about some of the casting calls (this was set off by one that just came out where the requester is asking for a long article with fairly specialized academic info and analysis of a specific book (which I assume you would have to have ...
