Wikipedia doesn't recognize CC because CC is not posting articles. It would be similar to someone posting a link to a book on Amazon.com.

Major issue uploading Illustrations.

I think I'm cursed today. I uploaded an illustration. It went fine. Then I noticed that they needed to be .eps files (it was a gif file). So, I deleted the first file and went to upload it again. I tried twice and both times it told me: Warning: imagesx(): supplied argument is not a valid Image reso...

Still all-knowing as ever Celeste (at least in all things CC).

They fixed the issue today.

Considering this is the first time in a year that this has ever happened, I'll forgive them. Especially since they are usually right on the ball with this (compared to other sites).

Sept Payment?

I've tried emailing but did not get any response.

CC has always been very good about paying me by the first, but this month I have not received a payment (and I'm well over the $50 threshold). Is anyone else having this problem?

Any idea of when we're going to get paid?

Thanks,
Darcy

Copyscape is available online.

You can also do direct passage searches through any search engine. Just put it in quotes. You should be able to find it fairly quickly there.

I think CC is having tech issues--this seems to only be a problem when that occurs.

Since you can change your paypal email yourself, that should be a problem. However, you won't get emails regarding any article rejections.

Keep emailing them.

How do we know?

I received a notice that one of my articles sold yesterday. However, the article has not shown up on my "licenses" page nor does it show as "sold" when you view the article.

It was sort of weird, usually I receive the notice afterwards.

Another way to counter is to offer to sell the $100 article for a lower amount with different rights or ask if you can write a similar article with fewer words (100-150) on the same topic for the customer's lower price. How? I guess that was what I was asking. How do you contact a potential buyer t...

Thanks Keesa! Yeah, I've seem to attract a buyer who seems insistent on offering extremely low ball offers ($15-20 for full rights on articles that I priced at $70-$100). Those are easy to refuse. Others, I debate on because they are usually a tad lower than I want to go, but I hate to lose the sale...

Best offers: when to accept, counteroffers?

Okay, I'm struggling with some offers I have been receiving. I'm curious at what other writers are doing in regards to them? How much lower than your offered price are you willing to go? Also, I've seen mention on other threads about writers making counter-offers, but have never seen anyone explain ...

When I first came here, I checked the "recently sold content" several times a day. I even kept an active list. Then, I tried to find articles that fit in that area. I wouldn't try to duplicate the articles sold. I simply tried to find something similar. For example, if I noticed that sever...

You might consider placing a note in the summary that buyers can submit a private request to you if they desire a version with photos.

I recently wrote an article that compared different merchant accounts, almost always PayPal was the cheapest option. While I can only imagine the nightmare of having to try and balance the different bank transfers, might I suggest some bank transfers as an option once a writer has earned a certain a...
