Re: Confused Customer- how do I answer her?
Yikes! A lot has changed over the last 6-7 years, so I wouldn't necessarily go looking for advice from that far back. That said, I still feel that showing 100 percent is the best approach. If you only show 30 percent, the customer won't necessarily know which direction your article will go. You may ...

CC content editor form
So, I forgot to add a list of sources at the end of an article. Went in to add it at the bottom, but the editor keeps moving it to the top of the page. It seems that when you copy some text into the editor, it automatically places it at the top, regardless of if the cursor is placed at the bottom.

Re: Green font color on new site
Thanks for making some of those changes so quickly. Logging into the dashboard area and having one-click access to requests are both awesome! FYI, when logging in to the new site on my phone, I noticed that most of the buttons and green links don't work! The main navigation links work fine, but thin...

Re: Green font color on new site
I can read it okay for now, but I'm not a fan. It's harder to read and harder to find stuff at a glance, and honestly, the green is not very attractive. What happened to usability? I like the blue and black contrast of the old site and the forum (at least until they change it to match the main site)...

Re: Delays in receiving private requests / no emails
That makes sense (waiting on the client to deposit funds or select a writer, etc). That said, the deadline should be extended accordingly. I'm sure the client would understand and that it's just one of those things that hasn't been thought of and addressed.

Re: Delays in receiving private requests / no emails
Hopefully they're fixing it No, I haven't reached out to support yet. If the long approval delays keep happening, I will. I'm hoping that part was just a fluke, someone out sick or something.

Delays in receiving private requests / no emails
Hi, For about a week or two, I have not been receiving any emails notifying me of new private requests. That said, I check my requests section several times a day to be sure I don't miss anything. On Friday evening (the 10th) a brand new private request appeared. It had a start date of April 6 and a...

Subject Line: Wording in New Private Pool Request Emails
Hi, I know this is a minor thing, but changing it would be extremely helpful. For about 6 months or so, after CC changed some of their email processes, the subject line for new PRIVATE pool requests says "new PUBLIC pool request." It would be helpful to use the correct wording because we t...

Re: The Option to Decline a Request
I would love the ability to decline, or maybe just hide, requests. Kind of like how we can remove completed requests, it would be nice to remove those requests we have no interest in seeing every day.

Re: Request for copy editing?
Hi guys, For large or unusual requests like this, one of CC's account managers (Sienna, Eric, Chris, etc...) will often get involved to help make it happen so that it's fair to both the client and writer. Also, you can arrange to do it in smaller batches so that there's less risk. For example, you m...

Re: What does (x) next to username mean?
That number is the number of purchases the customer has made. A customer with (1000) is one who has been using CC frequently while one with (0) is one who is new to the site or hasn't yet made a purchase.

Re: April Fools' Joke?
Sometimes someone will use a fraudulent credit card or PayPal account to buy a bunch of articles. Once discovered, those supposedly sold articles usually revert back and the money pulled back out of our accounts.

Re: Always this slow?
Hang in there - it's tougher for spec articles to find a home. Also, some customers buy in bulk once or twice a month. For example, the solar energy customer tends to buy hundreds at once in a single swoop. If I recall, there's a standing public request for these so if you write on that topic, make ...

Re: gender-neutral "they"
One way to avoid this is use the plural version so it matches "they." For example:
When your children do x, they should Y.
Some find it acceptable to mix the genders up with examples throughout the article. Use she in one example, he in another.
