Revision of Sold Articles.
Please let authors make an offer to revise a sold article, free of charge. I could've sworn that I deleted an OLD article months ago. Then I got a notice that it got sold! I'm kinda upset because I'd taken down a bunch of old articles for revision and expansion. I sent a message to CC to please allo...

Re: Liability protection for authors?
Why would you be sued? Unless you are plagiarizing another writer's work, slandering someone's name, or writing out and out lies, I cannot imagine anyone needing to worry about being sued. When I was a journalist for many years, either the newspaper or broadcast firms carried liability against frau...

Re: Liability protection for authors?
I have a friend who gives me a hard time because I don't incorporate to protect myself from being sued. I doubt anyone will sue you. Are you worth anything? Having insurance makes you a target for being sued, because then the lawyers know they can get something out of you. If you're not worth anyth...

Liability protection for authors?
Hi all! Is there any kind of liability protection for us writers concerning the articles we write here? Do CC customers/clients agree to take full responsibility for articles once they buy them? Or do we remain liable for them? What if it's full rights? What if it's usage rights? I don't have liabil...

Re: Why can't I delete an article with a sale?
Thanks for all your replies. I was away for a long time taking care of other stuff. Do we not have the right to delete articles that did not sell for full rights? If we retain rights, what use is that if we can't remove articles from our library? I don't want to edit those articles; I just want to d...

Article rejected - see corrections?
Back to writing here after being away for many months. I notice editors now "edit" articles. I've had several approved, but one got rejected. Only explanation was "see corrections in text." There are no comments from the editor as far as I can see, just strikethroughs and edits. ...

Re: Why can't I delete an article with a sale?
Yeah, I do want to delete a bunch of articles. Some have sold, some have not. And I tried "editing" articles too but I recall I couldn't really do anything with it other than keywords, I think. Those articles that sold for use license were a year or so ago. I still want to get rid of them.

Why can't I delete an article with a sale?
I would like to delete old articles from my library. I noticed that there's no delete option for articles that have at least one sale. Now, I know that articles with a unique or full rights license disappear from the catalog, anyway. But what about those that sold under the use license? Can't I have...

Re: 108 hits!
I'm at the 70% sale rate. But I only write a few articles. With me, I often will know within a month or two if a new article will sell. These tend to be business or technology topics. But if they don't sell that quick, it seems they won't sell t all! I have one with well over 600 views and no sale. ...

Resource link?
Wanted to help with the big Feb 1 project this month. But I'm just a bit confused by the instructions. Is EACH article request supposed to have 1 required resource link? Because I click "view details" on an article and don't see one. The shared doc file contains only a few resource links.

Resubmitting an article.
Hello, I'd just like the editors to know that I deleted a previously approved article, edited it and resubmitted it. I did this to add important details that weren't in the original version. There was no "comment to the editor" box for the new submission, so I couldn't add a comment there....

Re: CC useless for non-SEO/blog placements?
If you still want to try CC and want to make sure you never lose credit for your articles, sell for Unique and/or Usage rights only. Then they won't have the right to take away the byline.

Re: Having Trouble Getting Accepted Into CC
Have you looked at the CC blog? It may give you an idea of the type of writing style they want here. I could give you links to websites that have bought and published articles from here, but I'm not sure if that's allowed here.
