Re: How do I edit the price of an article?

Ok, thanks for your response. I think that's what I was trying to do but it didn't seem to be working. I will have another try and if I can't do it I'll contact CC.

Cheers,

Jane

How do I edit the price of an article?

Hi All A customer has offered me a reduced price for one of my articles. He didn't do this by using the formal request facility (as far as I know), he simply emailed me and asked if I would accept a lower price. I have tried to change the price of the article by going to the article and clicking on ...

Re: A really stupid question

Thanks for the clarification on that. Yes, I was asking if, once I had accepted an offer, I then had to change the price of the article to the price agreed with the customer. I did actually change the price on one article after having accepted a price offer but I didn't get the sale! Good that we do...

Re: A really stupid question

But do you then have to go and change the advertised price on your article? Because how will the client be able to buy at the agreed price? That's the part I'm confused about! Thanks.

Re: About full rights and author name

This is a good point. I have never included my name in any article I have sold. Yet a few articles which have been bought have in fact appeared with my name alongside them - and not my pen name, my proper name (not too sure how that's happened in some instances, but that's another matter). I think s...

Re: A question about the pricing of articles

Mehreen

When you submit a document, you'll see a link to "Typical Prices for Selling Content" - that's where you'll get the details.

Re: Format - 2 spaces after a period like normal?

Hannah

This should help: http://grammar.quickanddirtytips.com/sp ... tence.aspx

However, I don't think your article will be rejected if you use two spaces. From what I can tell, there are a number of authors who use two spaces after a period.

Kind regards,

Re: Articles Stuck in Client Review?

Just a bug in the system re releasing the articles after the customer review period, which hopefully should be resolved very soon.

Re: question about "grasp of"

I think the editors may be taking the word grasp a little too literally here. While you may grasp on to something, I think it's perfectly acceptable to have a grasp of something. http://oxforddictionaries.com/view/entry/m_en_gb0347360#m_en_gb0347360 comprehend fully: the press failed to grasp the si...

Re: cilantro or coriander

Jaye Hi. I believe it's cilantro - at least it is here in Canada. When I first relocated, I couldn't find fresh coriander anywhere - not until I realised that it wasn't actually called coriander! I believe in N America, cilantro refers to the green, leafy herb, but the seed is still called coriander...

Re: US/UK English?

Pennie Welcome! Sorry to hear that your first article was rejected. I'm not too sure why the word 'noughties' was referred to as a 'joke term', as it's included in the online Oxford dictionary (although you'll see that it says it's 'chiefly British', which may have led to the editor thinking that it...

Re: Sending link to existing article to customer

Many thanks, Celeste. Yes, I did copy and paste the URL but then I thought I would make it even easier for the customer and sent the link via the messaging system in the request section! I will think twice about doing that next time. I think the customer's serious about buying though (we had an exch...

Sending link to existing article to customer

Hi Does anyone know whether when you send a customer a link to an existing article in your portfolio the article is "removed" until the customer decides whether to buy or not? For example, say a customer posts a public request and you have a suitable article, if you send him a link to it, ...
