I've articles rejected for the same thing and definitely no active hyper links. only the URL.COM

Definitely in need of editing standards, obviously the writer guidelines are not current.

Re: fairly priced spec vs. underpriced team: which is better

I'm a new writer who has mostly had no trouble with the editors. (Except for one article which was outright rejected for not offering useful information or actionable content… which would've been fine, except I see articles published all the time that definitely aren't offering actionable content.)...

Re: fairly priced spec vs. underpriced team: which is better

that was a while back, but still. i was taken back by the comment.

Re: fairly priced spec vs. underpriced team: which is better

Like when one editor wants you to use a double hyphen instead of a comma and when you do the next editor gets angry you used a double hyphen where you should have divided the same sentace with a comma. The curtains were blue, like the turquoise waters of Greece, and framed the window in cheerfulness...

Re: Are Conclusions Always Necessary?

It's just a good part of professional writing. they teach you to write conclusions in most high-school and college writing courses, especially journalism, which is what non-fiction internet content borders on.

Re: A note on suspensions

It's good to see that established accounts aren't at an imminent risk of suspension, and that you are looking into ways to keep articles in the catalogue by suspended writers. If the 3 suspensions this year to established writers weren't due to professionalism, plagiarism, or violating the terms &a...

Re: fairly priced spec vs. underpriced team: which is better

Just so we're all on the same page, what specifically are folks referring to when they speak about things going back to the way used to be? I'm not sure if it's the same for everyone else, but for me personally, it's being able to submit content without fear of being banned from the site. If I'm ba...

Re: fairly priced spec vs. underpriced team: which is better

I just wanted to pitch in to say a couple of weeks ago I was submitting private requests and Eric and the editor made sure the content went through really quickly to the client. I did say a few weeks ago that I wouldn't be submitting any more gallery articles, but CC has restored my confidence slig...

Re: A note on suspensions

Ah, thanks. This helps some writers here. Hope others are less afraid to work with editors. A diplomatic and kind approach works well both ways.

Re: Resubmitting an article.

in the past I have always added notes to the editor in the short summary and then deleted it myself once the article had been approved. I haven't needed to do this for a while though, and I'm not sure if it is still acceptable. It's a pity we have to find out about these changes to the rules throug...

Re: fairly priced spec vs. underpriced team: which is better

The latest writer pool request is worded: Recipe Writers: We're looking to fill a large request and are looking for any available writers who can start working immediately. The client needs over 500 recipes that need to be completed by Friday. The client will provide a list of recipes and additional...

Re: fairly priced spec vs. underpriced team: which is better

I agree abourt the writer pools, the low price is not worth the hassle of dealing with the editors. They are like English teachers, if they cannot find spelling and grammar errors they reject on personal opinion, and its just not worth trying to figure out what they want, let alone what the client w...

Re: Newbie question about sold content

If you have sold it for usage rights then it can remain on the system for others to buy for usage rights. When a customer buys for usage rights it means others can buy for usage rights. The customer should be aware of this. It means repeat sales for you since you can sell many copies o the same arti...
