Re: Repeated No-Pay Clients
You're smarter than me, Lysis. Your comment reminded me of this fellow I once knew. His intellect was otherwise notably low on the scale, but he had a saying that struck me as eminently sensible and street smart: " Get paid ." 8) [....] I was invited for a $20k project on here that w...

Re: Repeated No-Pay Clients
The first two snubbed projects were rather specific, consisting of one press release and one news item, but the last project was indeed generic enough that the completed text can await other customers in the catalog. It's time anyway for me to reach out to a wider world of better-paying clients who ...

Repeated No-Pay Clients
Yup, that's the third writer-pool project in a row for which the associated client has silently declined to purchase the completed text after I claimed and meticulously finished the project. I've gathered many positive reviews from happy clients and zero rejections in the course of writing hundreds ...

Re: ANOTHER Flaky Client
I accept the equivalent of private requests at another content broker, but payment is guaranteed if the article meets the explicit requirements of the client. With hundreds of completed articles across mostly public requests and a scattering of private requests, only two clients have ever tried to w...

Re: No More Usage Rights on Constant Content?
It is to be hoped this phenomenon reflects a mere system glitch. I saw that option flickering in and out of sight while editing an article today. I haven't used it yet myself, but after seeing how some articles apparently have sold several times over, that approach might be interesting for an evergr...

Re: Weird Reworked Word Count & Other Thoughts
Yes, that's it exactly, Judith. I'll admit that this accidental discovery was momentarily disconcerting, but the silent editing only occurred in a handful of early articles that evidently had received merely cursory reviews before being approved, and the changes made genuine sense. I went over those...

Re: Steemit = Stolen Content
That's just disturbing. It sounds as if the scoundrels behind this website have found a way to crack into Constant Content. I'm a bit player here, nothing like Lysis, HiredGun or others, but who wants their content stolen by grinning thieves? :( Has anyone heard from the security team at Constant Co...

Re: No, I'm not a narcissist...
I wrote a long article on gardening. I included the word "garden" in the list of keywords. The article has been sitting around for months. Yet my profile isn't listed in the lengthy results from a search for the keyword "garden." Plenty of articles from other "one-result&quo...

Re: Weird Reworked Word Count & Other Thoughts
Oh! Yes, manually copying and pasting the text was a bit tedious. Of course, I only had to do that for a few articles. One shudders to think of having to do that for ... hundreds of articles?
Lysis wrote:You had to copy/paste the words when you switched to 100%? Maybe I'm the one who misunderstood. lol

Re: Weird Reworked Word Count & Other Thoughts
Erm ... please forgive me for being obtuse, Ms. Lysis, but you had to do what when what went live? Maybe I'm just tired. I missed an important deadline today at another content broker after goofing up the complex order requirements out of sheer fatigue. Woe is me! :( I had to do that too whe...

Re: Weird Reworked Word Count & Other Thoughts
The opening thread post took a few days to slide past moderation, probably because it was my first post here of any kind since opening the forum account a couple of years ago. I did lurk extensively after opening the account and then again after deciding recently to make a real go of writing for Con...

Weird Reworked Word Count & Other Thoughts
After having had 12 articles in all accepted at Constant Content and after subsequently selling three of them, I'm now plotting and scheming to write a fair number of additional articles. As part of this effort and after having seen that Lysis and others allow 100 per cent of their articles to be vi...
