Re: Fifth Rejection : All I ask for is consistency...
Hugh, the word paranoid springs to mind. You aren't being rejected because you are a newbie, you are making genuine mistakes. I have had endless rejections since I joined C-C 4 years ago and there were times they left me chewing the carpet. When I first joined it was far harsher as I'm sure many oth...

Re: Are editors costing this site business?
I have to agree too. I have been submitting here for about 3 years and have sold about 80% of my articles, but I've been away doing other stuff for a few months, came back, and decided to submit some more; in particular for 2 requests from a customer to whom I have previously sold articles. But with...

Re: Difficulty Resubmitting Article
I'm having exactly the same problem and it's so frustrating particularly as I'm submitting for a request so I may have to start the resubmission procedure all over again and go to the back of the queue. I really appreciate the new editing and the helpful feed back re the rejection but the new resubm...

Re: Article Rejected
I think it means what it says. Sorry, but it seems that your basic grammar is not up to scratch. The site editors will persevere with a first submission if the content contains a few spelling mistakes, the odd mis-placed punctuation mark .. I am still guilty of those after 4 years here.. but grammar...

Re: Writing CC Articles
I would timidly put forward a point of view from a European writer... aka from another continent, and an expat Uk citizen. Dear old Winston Churchill said of North America and Britain 'we are two countries separated only by a common language' and thereby hangs the problem for all UK- educated witers...

Re: How much are we worth?
Aha! So this customer has tried it on with other writers. I thought I was the only one to have expereinced righteous indignation at a $5 offer for an $80 full rights. I was tempted to reply 'Do you think I was born yesterday?' Good job we only get the chance to say yes, or no! My article was an earl...

Re: New Author- Article Rejected?
Debbie ... I'm struggling away at the coal-face of what can be loosely described as 'commercial fiction'. I'd rather it was labelled 'literary fiction' but sadly that's just too pretentious . I have set myself the challenge of combining a story set in Occupied France during WW2 and the present day, ...

Re: New Author- Article Rejected?
Hi Shirley I'm taking a break from content writing but saw your posting en route to buckling down for a few months to really get my fiction work back on track, however, anything will divert me, so I couldn't resist having a go at rewriting your 1st paragraph. ...hope you don't mind ! I agree with De...

Re: Marketing
Eureka... thanks Celeste. Didn't notice the Add- a -Gadget margin . 'Should have gone to Specsavers'
It looks fine now. I don't expect a deluge of interest either, jadedragon but when the widget's provided I'll take advantage of it (with a little help from my friends!)

Re: Marketing
Thanks Celeste. I'll certainly try that, though having looked at jadedragon's link the size looked ok, and about the same size as mine.... but it was neatly in the margin where I thought mine should be. Yours looked great, jadedragon .... guess it's back to the drawing board for me. Either that or I...

Re: Marketing
Sorry to go a bit 'off-topic', but can I ask you, Celeste what size your widget is ? Oops, sounds a bit rude put like that  I downloaded one to my site following the easy peasy directions in the video demo. but it popped up right in the centre of the opening page just under the title and was a...

Articles for French travel site
Am I being obtuse ...or what? I have just tried to submit an article for a public request only to find it isn't listed. It hasn't expired, and I have already sold one article to the customer on the same request ..... also I have been waiting for a review for another article to the same customer for ...

Self sufficient socisty
I thought exactly the same about Katrina, but being a European I didn't think it expedient to commemt (outside of the house , that is). I was amazed at the reaction of New Orleans citizens, It seemed to me the only self-help demonstrated was self-helping to white goods from flooded shops. It's not a...
