Welcome!

I have only been on CC about a month, but have found that sales are good if your writing is good, from my experience and what others say, and everyone is tremendously helpful. Have fun!

Question about appropriateness

This is such a weird question... I had the wonderful opportunity to witness two 100-year-old Aldabra Tortoises mating. I have great photos of the behavior, which I think would be highly marketable to wildlife, conservation, or ecological publications. They would even be great for use in an ac...

Posting entire article

From what I understand from the current submission guidelines, we don't post whole articles anymore now that there are no free promo articles. The guidelines say to post at least one-third of the piece. I usually post about half of the piece I am submitting, and sales have been pretty good. It is on...

promo posters copyrighted?

I have a photo of a vintage circus poster for Ringling Bros Circus. Is the poster considered someone else's copyrighted material? I do not want to even bother loading it if it is a copyright violation. Thanks! -Brandy S.

Someone's been playing with my camera...grrr

Well, I went to check what resolution my current camera is set on. It has 10.7x optical zoom on it. Apparently my S.O. must have borrowed the camera recently, because it was no longer set on the highest resolution, where I leave it. Grrr.... So, that is corrected. I think most of the photos that wer...

Thank you

Thank you for responding so quickly. I try to open and check them at 100 percent size before sending them in, but there were some I know I must have not done that for (sorry...was doing photo-editing at 3 AM...) because when I went back to inspect them and figure out why there were rejected, I could...

Rejections for manual focus on foreground or background?

I have had a few photos rejected for "poor quality" or being "too blurry" because a portion of the image was out of focus...on purpose. I know it can not be an issue of resolution...many of these images are set at around 2000 x 2000. So here is my question...are photography "...

Thanks for watermark

Thank you for adding the watermark. I felt better adding more images once you did that.

Hello and how to get byline properly credited on articles?

"If you wish to receive a byline, you must include your name in the article." Speaking of writers' guidelines...could I get some clarification on this part of the submission guidelines? I originally included a short bio at the end of my articles, but had to remove that because it was consi...

Christmas photos not in Christmas section

I have two Christmas Gazebo photos that I recommended to be included in a Christmas category before the Christmas category was created. Now they are in the Holidays section, but not viewable in the now existing Christmas sub-category. I can't move them. Can they be moved to the appropriate sub-categ...

That stat is simply saying that I am only selling full rights to 6 of the articles/images I listed. Never mind. I figured it out.

Full Rights Licenses Sold But Not Reflected in Sales?

Hi. I'm Brandy and I am confused! My "Recently Sold Content" only reflects one sale. My downloads only reflects one article download. Yet it appears that there are 6 full rights purchases that are not reflected in either the recently sold content stats or the article or photo downloads sta...
