I haven't checked in for a few days and it's been much longer since I submitted or had something to say. If adding a list helps encourage new writers, CC should probably do it, even though I think it may sway some buyers away from those of us who don't submit regularly. I think the morale benefit to...

This is entirely different from plagiarism. See, I'm caught in a paradox because my existing article is written for the mortgage industry and the request is for the boating industry. lol I'm frustrated enough that the Internet has changed our profession from one where clients paid hundreds or more for advertorials to one where they get them for pennies on the dollar -- and the writers feel lucky. I draw the line where writers whine when they are held to a higher standard. Here's...

I never mind you weighing in, C. :) The article in question already sold on CC for usage. It's written for a different industry than what the requester needs. This is a public request, by the way. What I want to do, is rework the article to suit the new request. I'm concerned CC's guidelines won't a...

Derivative for a new request
Hi, Ed.
I've got an article that I could rework a bit for a current request. Since it's only eligible for usage sale anyway, would it pass CC's criteria if I submit a derivative for usage only with full disclosure to the new client?

Rebecca, I hope you're around long enough to read this: From reading your Web sites, you seem to be a talented writer. Hey, I'm a talented guitarist but there's a reason I don't make money doing it -- I don't have the patience to learn the mechanics of the craft. Anyone can self-publish an ebook or ...

Brain Drain for Grain game makes national news
I couldn't remember where you posted it in the forum, Ed, but the game made NBC network news today. Apparently, the site has raised enough to feed 1 million people for 1 day. Hey, it's a good start!
