Hello form Brooklyn!

Post by wordygirl »

Hello everyone,

I'm new here and just wanted to say hello. I hope to get some articles submitted soon?

Can someone explain how requested content works? What do I do to secure that work?

Thanks! :D

Welcome, Wordygirl

With public requests, submit an article as you would in the usual way, making sure you select the correct category (there's no category for 'public request'). Once your article has been accepted, go to the 'requested content' section, find the customer's request, and then send an email to the customer, providing a link to your article so the customer can read it and buy if if they wish.

Good luck!

Also, public requests aren't generally secured beforehand unless the requester specifies that they'd like to see samples of your work and a bid. In 99% of the requests, you will simply write the article and post it once approved.

While there are no sure things, this allows the writing to speak for itself - not the individual's credentials or ability to convince the buyer to "pick me." This also frees up the buyer from having to review multiple resumes, bids, etc... If they like the article and it's priced within their budget, they'll buy it!

Just for clarification, the email JD is talking about is the Q & A section. You use the Lookup feature to attach your article AFTER it has been approved by the editor. We aren't supposed to email buyers outside of C-C.

Good luck, and to be honest just about any article well written sells here, eventually. Just keep writing what you enjoy and know and the buyers will find you.

Always Smiling,
EAW
