Newb here saying hello

Good afternoon all. Found this website at the recommendation of Writer's Digest and International Travel Writers Association and thought I'd give it a try.

I am a freelance writer based in Southern Arizona and have been doing this for nearly three years now. Since starting this, I have been published in some smaller regional magazines as well as AAA's Home & Away Magazine, with more articles currently under contract with both them and an RV magazine.

I've only lived in Arizona for four years, having moved here from Ohio as a result of my husband receiving a transfer with his employer; kind of a "You can take this transfer or be laid off" kind of thing.

I have two children of my own and two step-children and three of the four are grown with children of their own now. Our youngest, a fourteen year old, is fast becoming oh so much smarter than his parents and is well on his way to driving us crazy with his angst.

I completely enjoy travel writing but am looking to expand my expertise in other fields, more specifically sports as I have a background as a sports writer from Ohio.

I look forward to getting to know some of you (I mean, really, c'mon. There's no way at all I can get to know ALL of you!) and working with all of you. This seems to be a wonderful site and I hope to enjoy a long relationship.
