Hello CC!
My name is Jason, and I'm very excited to be a part of this community!
I've been writing for the web for about 5 years. Usually, I'm writing for my own niche blogs and websites, but writing about baby shower decorations and slate pool tables sure gets old fast!
I served in the United States Army as an Infantryman with the 101st Airborne. Since my honorable discharge, I've been studying Marketing at my local community College. The Army's GI Bill has been paying my way through school, but I'm almost finished with my degree, which means the money will soon be coming to an end.
I don't want to get one of those dreaded 9-5 jobs, but my niche blogs and websites aren't earning a full time income yet. So... If I don't find a way to increase the size of my wallet before school ends (enough to be considered a full-time income for a single guy), I'm going to have to break down and get a *cough* normal job *cough*.
I'm hoping that writing consistently for CC will help supplement my income and keep me from applying for a job that I won't enjoy.
I'm one of those "take-action" kind of guys, so I've already submitted my first unique article. It is awaiting approval! Hopefully, my writing skills are good enough to get the CC stamp-of-approval!
I really look forward to learning from, and interacting with you all. Feel free to say hello whenever you want!
To your success,
Jason Stepp
Oh yeah... I have a quick question.
After submitting my article yesterday, I wrote a few more articles today. I want to submit them to CC as well. Should I wait for my first article to be approved before submitting more articles?

Re: Hello From Ohio!
Hi and welcome to the site. I think that there's a limit for first time submissions as far as how many articles you can submit. It's a relatively new restriction that I haven't paid that much attention to. Maybe one of the newer writers can explain it. I want to say you can only submit three articles at first until you've had a certain number of articles accepted, but I'm not completely sure.
Re: Hello From Ohio!
I think three is the limit for a new writer. My advice is to wait until your first submission has been reviewed and either accepted or returned for rewrite so you know if you are making a silly error (like using Calibri 11 font instead of Arial or Times New Roman 12). That will cut down on needless rejections. Since there is a "three strikes" option for the editors to use if your work is not up to snuff, it's best not to submit the potentiale three strikes all at once.

Oh, and welcome!

Celeste and Debbi,
Thank you very much for the welcome and the advice!
I will not submit anything new until my first article is accepted.
