Well, it seems that I've officially taken that step today.
I'm looking to make some money to get started on some personal endeavors of mine. Freelance writing seems like it fits me best. I never really wanted to get a "typical job", and this seems like the more effort you put in, the more you'll get out of.
What you reap is what you sow.
I'd LOVE to cultivate my writing ability and turn it into something that I could potentially make money off of.
This definitely won't be forever, but it's the first step on my journey. Already, I'm starting to feel tingly inside...this must be the right thing for me to do
I'm 19, willing to learn, and willing to put the time and effort into making myself successful.
A year or so from now, I hope to look back on this article and say to myself, "Yep. This is where I got my start."
The best to myself and everyone else.

Alexander, welcome to CC! You have a great attitude and I'm sure you'll do well. Just take it slow at first--even excellent writers sometimes get a few rejections in the beginning until they're familiar with the guidelines and expectations here. It's a good idea to submit one article and wait for an acceptance before submitting any more. If you have questions about the submissions process or anything else, fire away! It's a very supportive community here.
