Hello Everyone

Hi All,

I just wanted to drop by and make a quick introduction. My name is Lori and I just recently joined CC and submitted my first article. I've been writing for as long as I can remember and I'm generally not too happy if I don't have either a laptop or, in a pinch, a pen and paper in hand. Although I've been writing for years, and have published articles in a number of industry-related publications, I've never really pursued my passion until now. Unless, of course, you count those piles of dusty, fully-written or half-written books I've been working on since my teen years :)

In addition to my writing, I keep myself extremely busy with my son and my full-time job in the criminology field.

I'm really looking forward to this new endeavor and getting to know all of the folks here at CC.

Welcome to CC! One of the things I love about this site is that you can write here when you want to and if you get busy on other projects, you may still make sales from your portfolio of already submitted articles. I love the community here and I love the way the site works. I wish you well here and in all your writing projects.

Thanks so much for the kind welcome. I definitely think I'm going to love it here at CC and I'm loving it even more since my first article was accepted today. I still need to get that first sale under my belt, but I feel much more confident knowing what sort of articles to submit.

I also really like the stringent grammar and punction rules. I had my first article sent back for revisions because I forgot the rule regarding when and when not to capitalize the word 'mom'. My mistake, but the editors seem to keep you on your toes. And you can bet I'll never forget that particular rule again
