I'm still lurking, learning and exploring (notably reading the submission guidelines, Q & A, and reasons for rejections). I've been writing essays, articles for local print pubs, and online for Sheknows and Suite101 for about 3 years in the mind, body, spirit topics. With the recent Google Panda re-rank however, my stomach now gurgles every time I review my page views! Ouch, but Suite is up to the new challenge and weeding out the nasty and complicated algorithm buggers that made us drop in the ranking, so I'm hopeful.
In the meantime I decided it was time to explore new online worlds so I'm really excited about being here, and about CC's formula. I plan to submit articles, price competitively for usage rights then hope, pray and learn. I take a rather long time to write my articles due to the amount of research I do on each topic, so I just can't stomach writing a piece for $7, it hurts to think about it.
But, I look forward to learning about the CC world, making some money, and as always, improving my craft/niche.
I saw a dodge truck article sold for $270 dollars and I wondered how? what? hmm? Most seem between $15-$30...with the net we're talking about $10 - $20 right?
I think if I was prolific this would work for me, but I'm not. I'm fast and furious on blogging but articles? Takes me several hours on one due to the research. We'll see if I can price higher and get even a nibble of interest.
