Hello, everyone in CC land. I'm just getting started.

Post by Jnapbilly »

Hello, I'm just stretching out for this writer's craft. Since for the last decade I had been walking the assembly line at JNAP a Chrysler plant in Detroit. That was a grueling 80 mile trip to work one way. About a year ago, they made me an offer I didn't want to refuse, so I didn't and I am thankful to be out of there. After I left, with my leaving playing no part in the layoff of my shift, they shut my shift down for over a year now. Had I stayed at 61-years of age, I would not have liked to to start all over again at a new plant. But right now that's a moot point, as they, 2nd shift has been on layoff for as long as I been gone. It appears that the Job Bank and unemployment supplemental insurance is not going to be there for my former workmates. I graduated from Western Michigan U. with a BS in Communication, with a minor in Journalism. Plus I've worked for two television stations for pay, and one for naught, as an intern in Grand Rapids, Michigan, via Kalamazoo out of their bureau for WOTV. I've worked for a couple of newspapers, the Kalamazoo Gazette, the Kalamazoo News in the Zoo, and the Flint Journal in the "Vehicle City." So once again I say hello everyone I look forward to working with Constant Content and you fabulous writers and videographers out there.

Hi,

Welcome to CC! I'm sure you will do well here with your background. As I suggest to all newcomers, building up a portfolio and regularly submitting articles is the path to success. The more regularly you write, the more you make here.

Wishing you all the best,

Kind regards,

Hayley
