I just thought I'd take a minute to introduce myself. I have been reading the forums now for a few days and am delighted with this group of writers. I do hope I'll be able to be a part of this.

Welcome to CC! I am sure you will find your place here in the community of authors. You asked a question about the rejections... I can't speak for Ed, of course, but it sounds as though you still have a chance to proove yourself as an author here. The best way to succeed is to submit your very best work here. Showing improvement by taking note of why the articles were rejected and not making the same mistakes again will help to get your articles accepted. Authors who do not show any improvement will be suspended after the three rejections, however, I believe that Ed can continue to accept articles for authors who have shown improvement and met the standards, even after the three rejections. Just spend plenty of time perfecting your next articles before submission. Many other new authors have found making a checklist of the guidelines useful. Spend quite a lot of time proofreading your next article before submitting it to give yourself the best chance of acceptance. It does get easier as you get used to the guidelines.

You should be fine then. Just remember that CC markets itself as selling high quality, unique articles (which is why authors here can command higher prices than on other sites), and that the high standards are set to maintain that niche market and to ensure that CC offers the customers what is advertised. Sloppy work is not professional and, if it was accepted, it would bring the site down to the level of the other sites. "Proofread, proofread, proofread", is the slogan of all successful writers at CC! That said, I am sure you will get used to the rules and standards here quickly and will be a success. (Don't worry, every author here has had at least one rejection, even those on the freelancers hall of fame lists! )

CC is really understanding about stuff like file formats, wrong fonts, and so on. Show good faith at mastering the guidelines, submitting error-free work, and improving the specific areas that Ed suggests, and you'll be fine. If your initial article was a little rough, polish your next one to perfection. Improvement and a good attitude go a long way here. Ed and CC are fair and have even allowed writers with horrible attitudes the opportunity to prove themselves. You have a good attitude and recognize where you need to improve so you are off to a good start.
