It's good to be here! I'm looking forward to getting to know some people and putting my writing skills to use.
I am 29 years old, from Edmonton, Alberta. My main area of expertise is photography, particularly teaching people how to use their cameras. I also have a bunch of my own photos to upload!
I work full time at McBain Camera, selling cameras and giving out tips and tricks to my customers. I have been working in photography related jobs for almost 8 years now. Before McBains, I was a Walmart Photo Lab Technician for 4 years. And I do some professional photography on the side, weddings mostly, but I'd love to start making some money from my nature photography as well.
I have read in one part of the forums that the photography section of this website is in need of more good content. I'm looking forward to helping with that!

Welcome! I think you'll do well on CC. I've seen quite a few articles on photography in the Recently Sold lists.
Be sure to read all the wrtier's guidelines, FAQ, and tutorials if you haven't done it already. So many newbies get a rejection (like I did) because they weren't completely acquainted with all of CC's rules. Also, read as much of these forums as you can stand
Some of us are compulsive forum visitors and I think we've all learned a lot from each other and from Ed , JR, and David from the CC staff.

I've been here a looooooooooong time. A little over two years now. I couldn't work the first year in Canada so CC was a life-saver of sorts (paid for a lovely warm coat for the winter at least!). I write more when I'm not working but unfortunately I can't seem to make enough to give up work altogether. Still, that's OK - this is probably more enjoyable as a hobby anyway.
