Hello from Nebraska

I just found this site yesterday and am both excited about using it, and a little nervous. I've been writing for different websites for a couple of years now, but they've been amateur sports writers sites like Bleacher Report, or citizen journalist sites like Digital Journal.

It's a little intimidating to come to a site with so many professional writers. Hopefully I can hold my own. I've got three articles submitted and waiting for review, so I guess we'll see what the staff here thinks in short order.

I'm from Lincoln, Nebraska (Go Huskers!) and just wanted to say hello.

Any tips, tricks or whatnot anyone wants to share with me, have at it, and fire away

HI there and welcome. Your best bet is to read through the forums where there are lots of tips for newbies. And, of course, read and digest the guidelines. The most popular tip on that has been to create your own checklist to go through before you submit, at least the first few times. And do post any specific questions you have. You'll find us a helpful lot. Good luck at CC.
