Hi everyone My name is Elaine and I must admit I'm a little late at getting around to an introduction. I joined CC almost a week ago but I've been spending my time reading and absorbing all the great information in the forum, as well as making my first three submissions (accepted too! *does a little happy dance*). Thank you very much to all who share their knowledge and experience here - to the benefit of new folks like me. It's truly appreciated. So, I guess I've gotten my feet wet... now I'm looking forward to strapping on my floaties and wading in deeper. See you 'round the pool!

Hi Elaine, glad to meet you. It took me a year or so to wade into the forum waters. The comaraderie of other writers here make CC a very special place. It sounds like you did your proper homework and read all of the guidelines and forums - 3 accepted articles is indeed a worthy celebration! Hope you continue to do well.

I'm glad to meet you too Emma! You're so right - there is a definite community here. It's evident, right from the first reading - and it's comforting, that's for sure. As to the guidelines and forums, I'll confess that I'm a bit of a "geek" about those things. I've worked professionally in online community and dialogue management (as well as moderation) for the past ten years, so reading guidelines and TOS is as much a habit for me as my coffee *grin* I was able to switch to decaf on the coffee but there's not much I can do about my reading habits Thank you for your kind words and for making me feel welcome!
