Hi, I am a professional physicist. Writing seems to be my strong side (at least among physicists) and I am looking for possible interesting application of my abilities/expertise. I will appreciate any advice.

Welcome to CC! It is a great place to write. My advice is to get to know the submission guidelines really well and make sure your submissions meet the guidelines. There are some resources on the web that can you - at least two authors here have written ebooks on succeeding at CC. Meanwhile, some of the best resources are right here - in the forum posts there is a wealth of information, helpful advice, and sage points of wisdom from authors and our much beloved "Ed".
