I am a retired nurse and the widow of a deceased veteran that stayed home to care for my man so he wouldn't end up in a nursing home. At least I can say he got the best care possible in the last years of his life. In that time, by his bedside, I wrote my first fiction novel. Now I know there is no fiction allowed here, and that is fine, for I have learned to shift gears into non-fiction article writing. It is my hope that I can further develop the non-fiction side of my writing biz and create a network of writing friends to learn from, and find more work in this dreaded economy.

Hello and welcome to the site. As you shift gears from fiction to non, you may be able to put your life experience to work. Articles such as "How to Provide Home Care to Terminally Ill Loved Ones" or "Battles Veterans Face Long after the War is Over" might be in your future when you're ready. Fiction used to me my first love writing-wise, but I've come to love non-fiction as much, maybe even more.
